I finally saw all of Merlin again, and then some.
I agree.

lizardgirl - I second that! I was laughing my pants off, man… (snigger)

My absolute favorite part in that movie is the “professional pirate” song.
Since we’re talking about Muppet Treasure Island , another question came up. What is your favorite movie or film series of the pirate genre? My favorite movie? Treasure Planet . My favorite film series? Kinda obvious, but the Pirates of the Caribbean film series.
What is your favorite movie or film series of the pirate genre? My favorite movie? Treasure Planet .
You rock. high five And I second that.
Well, my favorite pirate movie would have to be Pirates of the Carribean: Curse of the Black Pearl. I didn’t really like the next two that much.
Treasure Planet had really good animation in it, especially with John Silver’s cyborg eye, mechanical arm and leg. Pirates of the Caribbean : Dead Man’s Chest was really enjoyable (my opinion) , and had the most amazing iMocap (Image-based Motion Capture) animation with Davy Jones. I liked Bill Nighy’s performace of him as well.
My favorite pirate-themed film? Hmm. Well, I haven’t seen the original Treasure Island production yet, so I can’t correctly judge. I think I’ll have to wait on this one. Eheh.

Finally, somebody agrees with me on this! Dead Man’s Chest was the only feature within the Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy that I liked. All of the others I hated.

Mitch - Well, I for one, enjoyed all of them. But everyone has they’re own opnion and there’s nothing you can do about it. Bill Nighy was fantastic as Davy Jones.
Yeah, I’m going to have to agree that POTC is my favorite pirate series It’s kind of hard not to love. I don’t think i’ve met one person who hasn’t enjoyed it.
I just saw Harry Potter, Goblet of Fire today on TV. Personally, this one is my favorite out of all five movies that were released.
Funny you mention it… I rented it last night, because I had just finished the book (yes, I know, i’m a little behind. My friend and I just recently got into them) and I wanted to compare it with the film. It was brilliant, and definately was my favorite out of the others. The ending almost made me cry, and it was just amazing all around
Well, I like all of the Harry Potter movies. It would be so incredibly hard for me to choose a favorite out of all of them. It’s like deciding who your favorite brother is or something. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix was good, and I especially liked seeing Helena Bonham Carter as Bellatrix Lestrange. I’m looking forward to the sixth one which comes out on November 21, 2008 .
I agree, Helena was great! My mom and I both agree that she was perfect for the part, and I can’t wait to see her in the next one
LeBatEnRouge - Oh yeah, and I absolutely cannot wait to see Sweeney Todd : The Demon Barber of Fleet Street . Alan Rickman is perfect as Judge Turpin. I hope he works with Tim again after this film.
Me either!
I’m so excited, I can’t wait!
I’m dissapointed that Tim is no longer directing Ripley’s Believe It or Not! . When that was announced, I was so excited because that was perfect material for him. Jim Carrey is playing Robert Ripley, and I just said, " Tim and Jim, that’s a perfect match." Brad Siberling (director of Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events) is directing it now. Actually, Tim was attached to direct that with Johnny Depp as Count Olaf, but Brad replaced him on that as well. I hope Tim does wind up directing Ripley’s though; it’s just such perfect material for him.
Yeah, I got really excited, too. So did my mom, actually. I think it would’ve been great it he were still doing it
Really? I didn’t know he was supposed to direct that! Aw, man, that would’ve been awesome! I was just thinking about how great that would be if Tim would’ve directed it just the other day, too, when I saw the DVD in a video store
What is your favorite Steven Spielberg movie? Mine would have to be the upcoming Tintin move which he is directing. I have yet to see the Indiana Jones movies, but my goal is to see them before the fourth one comes out.
Bill: I love his Indiana Jones work and Jurassic Park.
