Movies - both new and old

I would say ET or Jurassic Park - which I just got my hands on the other day.

I’ve only seen Raider’s of the Lost Ark, but i’d like to see more. I really liked that one, and I think it would be nice to be able to see the rest before the fourth movie as well.

I just watched the Fugitive with my brother, just to see Neil Flynn, the janitor from Scrubs. xD

Speaking on Steven…
Anybody think it’s a big surprise that Harrison Ford, who’s now pushing his mid-60s, is going BACK into the fedora and grabbing the whip to play Indiana Jones once again after a long retirement from the tomb raider in the next Indiana Jones Movie?
Talk about dedicated

Haha, yeah, I do think it’s a bit awkward, but I still thinkt he’ll do great. I bet the movie won’t be a disapointment. Let’s hope it won’t, anyway

Oh boy, now that is crazy! I hope that it works out. Good luck to Mr. Ford.

I finally saw most of Casper on TV after ten years or so … can’t seem to find the tape of it but I know I have A Spirited Beginning, and I don’t want that. >_<

You’re gonna like this, Bill

I went to see The Nightmare Before Christmas in 3-D with my sister a couple of days ago, due to the fact that we were bored beyond measure to the point that we’d watch pretty much anything “safe”. Once again, I was happy to shoot out of my theater seat once the dang thing ended, but here’s the optimistic part: It was cuter than I remembered it. Ha! Yeah, I never thought that that would happen. I actually liked it a little more this time around, and I finally understand why my sister loves Jack Skeleton so much – when she’s in her “peaceful” state her personality is almost a mirror of that of Jack’s. Heh.

So yeah. I wasn’t so perturbed by the film that time around, thank goodness, but I would have rather watched Ratatouille…again. Needless to say, the story is rather charming, and I did crack up in a few parts. (I love it when Sally explains to Jack that he is the Pumpkin King and not Santa Clause, and Jack proceeds to deny her advice by breaking a former picture of himself in two. I was laughing so hard…)

Raiders of the Lost Ark is my pick of the litter, followed by the unforgetable Jurassic Park. Gotta love 'em…

Mitch - Well, I was kind of right. Tim’s films are starting to grow on you. I’m so glad you enjoyed it better than last time. And I still didn’t get a chance to see it in 3-D. No theater in my area was showing it. Well, it’s coming back next year on October 24. Oh, and I checked Box Office Mojo to see how it was doing, and it has out-grossed the first re-release from last year by 2 million “something” dollars.

Mitch mentioned the movie “Raiders of the Lost Ark”. It reminded me of something my theatre buddy said. He said that “my director, before I moved here, was an extra in that movie.” I don’t remember if he got to punch Jones, or he got punched by him.

That’s a really cool story.

You can say that again. I was like, “Dude, that is so cool!”

Bill - Yeah, you were partly right. Heheh. I’m glad I enjoyed it a little more that time around, as well, even if I’ll still never understand the madness. (snigger)

The 3-D version of the film is not as enhanced as I expected it to be, actually. As a matter of fact, it hurt my eyes, although I do have to admit that the introduction before the film (in which [spoil]a pumpkin pops out a box and laughs in the audiences’ faces[/spoil]) was cool beyond measure. You’ve gotta see it just for that!

Seriously? Get out…

The Star Swordsman - Woah. That’s so cool, dude!

Mitch: Oh it was. My jaw dropped when I heard it.

Didn’t get to watch a movie as planned, but I saw the conclusion of that South Park trilogy episode, then went on to watch Ghost Hunters live.

I got to see Nightmare Before Christmas 3D a couple weeks ago. Since I already loved the movie, I liked the 3D a lot, too. What I really liked about it was that since it wasn’t a movie that was made to be in 3D, it didn’t go overboard with the “pop-out-ish” stuff, if you know what I mean. Instead, it made it feel as though you were actually there. You almost forget that you’re watching it in 3D.

I desperately want to see NBC in 3D. It sounds so cool. I’m pleased it isn’t too over the top though, LeBatEnRouge, otherwise it does sort of spoil the experience.

There are so many films I want to see in the cinema right now! Queen Elizabeth- The Golden Age looks so epic, and the costumes look incredible. And then there’s 30 Days of Night, which is meant to be really good, as well as Steve Buscemi’s new film Interview, which I wanna see just because it’s 90 minutes of Steve. :stuck_out_tongue:

i just watched Battle Royale. I have to say that it is a powerful movie.

Yeah, that was what I was worried about when I went to see it. There was one thing that played before the movie that was meant to pop out at the audience (a little opening animation welcoming you to the movie), but since it wasn’t actually part of the film, it doesn’t really count  Hehe.

Oh I watched Nightmare in 3D too.

I don’t really like the movie in its original, probably because I like Corpse Bride so much more than Nightmare. As an artist, I appreciate Nightmare for its incredible artistic and technical feat. I think the movie already looks 3D without the 3D enhancement. I couldn’t really notice its presence a lot of the time. (Although that preview in 3D before the movie was pretty amazing).
