My brothers just watched The Land Before Time …man, that is so cheesy…all that land sliding around and rising is so unrealistic…it almost made me cry because I used to like it!
But the farther you go along, the better they become…

Clerks II - RULES!
I think I disagree with you on a few things Al-Bob. I think the first three were good, but now they are up to fourteen I think and it is getting more annoying than better.
Tonight, I’m going to just watch Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story.
It’s so dang funny!
Hah, my friends and I couldn’t stop laughing from the first 10 minutes of that movie alone!
I love that movie!! I love the parody they do on Ferris Beuller’s Day Off, which was also a great movie.
I just watched it last week and I agree. One of the most unique and riveting films I’ve seen, and a sweeping story of love, hope, and sheer grit. Life in the slums sure can be tough! Dev Patel’s character’s sheer determination to get the girl is so touching, and the kids are both cute and brilliant actors!
Ditto.
Geez, you Brits got Bolt pretty late for a release date! The DVD should be out in the U.S. next month!
So am I! I was inspired by my WALL-E music video, so when I came back to Singapore, I’ve been making trips to the library to borrow James Bond DVDs! So far I’ve gone through at least one film for each Bond, with only Lazenby left. I just borrowed On Her Majesty’s Secret Service today! I’ve already watched GoldenEye, You Only Live Twice, Licence to Kill (now my 2nd favourite after Casino Royale! Timothy Dalton was wicked! ), For Your Eyes Only, and Goldfinger.
I’ve also been going on an animation marathon this holiday. So far I’ve borrowed (again, from the libraries) and watched Home on the Range, Treasure Planet, Watership Down, Over the Hedge, Open Season, Howl’s Moving Castle (I loved the Pete Docter and John Lasster interview, as well as the Miyazaki visiting Pixar Studios video in the special features!), and Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children.
Movies I’ve seen in theatres recently: Seven Pounds, Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea, Inkheart, Defiance and Valkyrie. That’s approximately a movie a week, in the order mentioned.
Other films I’ve borrowed from the libraries (Singapore has a pretty awesome collection of the oldest and latest movies for their public libraries):
Hello Dolly! (obviously because of WALL-E, and I thoroughly enjoyed it!),
The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3 (pretty good suspense thriller),
Bullitt (which I only watched for the car chase, the rest was formulaic),
3/4 of Silent Running (I nearly fell asleep, but I plan to finish it another time),
3/4 of The Seven-Ups (Again, only for the car chase, I gave up after watching the pursuit cos’ it was too boring even for my patience),
The Pink Panther (the original, Peter Sellers was awesome!)
and The Naked Gun (a hilarious send-up of the police genre).
I have borrowed On Her Majesty’s… , Shaft, There Will Be Blood, and Dragonheart: A New Beginning. Should be a fun weekend.
I’m going to watch Cars in a few minutes, gotta love it!
Oh, I promise you, you will.
I watched WALL-E again last night, and sure enough the movie managed to restore my faith in humanity and almost everything as it usually does
It’s such an optimistic movie without feeling annoyingly cheery or pleasant. And it always makes me leave appreciating the little things in life that I don’t often think about…like dancing for instance. Personally, I wouldn’t be caught dead dancing…but the movie always makes me think that it’s something wonderful.
It really is such a spectacular film.
Mark-E: You’re not alone on that!
Just saw Happy Feet…I thought it was cute and enjoyable. Not up to Pixar level (in my opinion) but it was pretty good nonetheless…
Oh, and I recently saw Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa. DreamWorks seems to be getting better…they didn’t blow it. The sequel was surprisingly better than what I expected.
And The Nightmare Before Christmas. It was a really good film…I regret having avoided it for so many years- big mistake. I loved how he adapted to Christmas…and “Sally’s Song” was so beautiful it got stuck in my head long after the movie was finished. Man, I wish I could be like Sally…jump out a window and you’re not dead- not even injured. Just sew yourself back together painlessly.
Shark Tale.
I just bought it today, I love this movie!
I’m going to watch Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li on Friday, the day it comes out. I heard people everywhere say it sucks, but I’m just going to watch purely for enjoyment.
Everyone’s Hero is a good movie, I just watched it again!
I watched Rushmore tonight. Still a pretty funny film, probably my favourite Wes Anderson movie overall. Has a good mix of his style and humour.
I saw probably the worst Japanese movie in the world. It is called The Prince of Tennis Movie.
I just watched Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story. Not Bad!
I started watching Click on TV with Adam Sandler, and so far I REALLY liked it. Too bad I could’nt finish it. My younger sister wanted to watch TV so I was forced to turn it to SpongeBob.
Edited. I combined both of your posts. – Mitch
I’m watching Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back tonight. This movie is EPIC!
I am so excited to watch Street Fighter coming out in theatres on Friday.
I kinda want to see Street Fighter too. It looks kind of corny, but I have a feeling that I will like it.
