One Man Band

Hey, I’m a fiddler/violinist–does anyone here know where I can get the score for the song Tippy plays or, (I’m guessing), its classical source?
Thanks,

I wonder if the short was inspired by ‘Tin Toy’. He resembles the guy with the drums and horns and stuff somewhat…

I swear…Bass looks like Mr. Incredible. Everyone swears up and down I’m wrong, but I just can’t get past the similarities. I must say that because of that, as well as me being in the marching band, he’s my favorite. I love when Tippy throws the 2 coins into the fountain, and Treble’s violin string snaps. Really funny, but at parts, kind of pathetic on the one man band’s parts. :smiling_imp:

This is definitely one of my favourite Pixar shorts. Still, am I the only one who thinks Tippy was a bit spiteful at the end? After all, she’d already gotten one up on Bass and Treble by making heaps more money than them. Why did she feel the need to rub it in their faces like that? Sure, it was hilarious, particularly with that post-credits scene, but my sympathy’s very firmly with the two one man bands. :stuck_out_tongue:

I agree, being one who believes you should be kind to unloveable people.

I have only seen this short once…

I feel so bad. Everyhhing else Pixar has made I have viewed multiple times. For a while there I didn’t even know this short existed.

love70ways: Don’t feel bad! You don’t need to see it lots of times to be real pixar fan! I don’t know if this would be the right place to say it but I really love your icon! It’s so cute!

I love this short! It’s so cute! The little girl is so cute! I like how the town looks, it looks almost real but so cartoony at the same time. (sorry cartoony isn’t a work but I don’t know how else to explain it)

I loved it so much that my freshman year, I showed it to my religion class. NONE of the people got the jokes. :smiling_imp: Classless morons.

This is one of my favorites!!! I really love the characters, even as much as they don’t talk. 8D

One Man Band is easily one of my favorites, as I’m a big music person. I love that part with the violin near the end. 8D

^I totally agree. But I’m a marching band loser, so I root for Bass every time. 8D

Haha! I alternate who I think should win every now and then. :stuck_out_tongue:

Treble just…bothers me. I adore violin, but Bass has a clarinet!!! And he was there first, and I like him better. XD He reminds me of Mr. incredible.

I like Treble’s music better than I like Treble. :stuck_out_tongue:
Bass reminds me of Mr. I, too!

Ahh I really love the character designs for this short. It has an artsy feel to it, it reminds me of French picture books  It’s hard to say (in terms of their music) whether I like Treble or Bass more, they just compliment each other so perfectly! But I definitely prefer Bass as a character. I get a grubby vibe from Treble.

That’s what I mean, the characters, not the things themselves. 8D

Really, K9? Most people disagree with me on that. :frowning: He definitely has the same nose, eye shape, and smile as Mr. Incredible. 8D

I also would like to chose it as my favourite Pixar shorts. Their is great fun adventure … and i just love whole thing about in the film.

I love the music and that the plot revolved around music. It could have so easily been about a marching band with one man in it, but…I soon found out it wasn’t, to my grand surprise. 8D

I love this Short Film! The music in it is amazing and there are some great gags in it too.
One of my favourite moments in it is the post-credits scene where treble is standing on bass trying to reach for the coin and then they fall.

Its the music the made this short for me. It was an amusing story anyway, but I loved the music. So much so, in fact, that I put it on my MP3 player
