Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides

I’m tempted to quote the double-entendre Robin Williams line from Night at the Museum, but I’m afraid there’s preschool toys present.

Seriously, a monkey fight in a serious movie like POTC would be awesomely distracting. 8D

^ No, no. It won’t be a monkey fight. It’s a sword fight.

IV: But it would be fun…

SOA: Do you mean Jack fighting with his alter-egos? Cos’ I thought you meant Jack Sparrow and Jack the monkey. I want to see how good Captain Jack is in one-to-one unarmed combat with a sentient simian.

Oh. Two human Jacks? Still sounds awesome to me. 8D

Yes, I meant Jack Sparrow vs. Jack Sparrow. It’s in the trailer.

I’m still not sure if Jack the monkey will be in this one. :frowning:

If Geoffrey Rush is back, I’m sure the monkey will return.

I hope Jack the monkey is back. He was really cute!

KEITH RICHARDS!

Yes, he was also in the first trailer.

Ah, thanks for telling me that, then.

The character posters were released a long time ago, but I think nobody posted them here.

I’m glad that Barbossa, who’s my favorite character, looks that great. And I love how Blackbeard’s poster mimics Barbossa’s pose on his Curse of the Black Pearl poster.

Thanks for sharing that with us, SOA. I saw the posters a while back, and they remind me of 90s-era posters (although with 00s digital touchups).

The Penélope poster is my favorite.

Here’s the Lego Dead Man’s Chest trailer:

It follows The Curse of the Black Pearl one that I think I posted earlier:

I really love the good-spirited parodies of the Lego movie series, and this one looks like a must-get for me!

The part I love most from the Dead Man’s Chest trailer was Jack reversing the distance from Davy Jones with his telescope! The part I love most from the Curse of the Black Pearl trailer was Elizabeth falling out of her dress while it still hung in space! That kind of self-aware and reflexive humour is what I enjoy about the Lego movie games. 8D

Awesome, Spirit!

I’m surprised no one’s mentioned the mermaids yet! That’s probably what I’m most excited to see…

Oh, yes. I forgot to publish the mermaids poster, maybe because I dislike it.

And here’s a new poster, more in line with those of the first movies:
