Pixar Internships 2011

Congratulations! I saw your reel, you deserve it!

Yeah, I never got anything, rejection or otherwise. Never heard from the guy I sent my application directly to, so I’m going to assume recruitment never got it. I would’ve expected at least a generic rejection email. Learn from me, send 2 copies if you think you have a connection x) Also, take the online status thing with a grain of salt, because they never updated mine

sari-brielle, I wish you the very best of luck! Your portfolio is amazing ^^
Let us know how you do, and how awesome and fun it is, if you get the chance

Congratulations!!!!!!

@inkydragon

Thank you so much!! I’ll keep you updated as best I can!

Still nothing. This is becoming nerve racking. I’m worried that my reel and resume sent by snail mail arrived late. I sent it out Monday and it was time stamped before the deadline. The post office employee said it would reach them the next day, do you think I would be automatically disqualified it the package didn’t arrive before 4 pm on Monday? Also, how many people have heard the good news yet? This forum has become quite the comforting support group.

Speaking just for the internship I applied for (and I would assume it applies to all), it just had to be postmarked by the due date. I confirmed that with HR because I too sent it out the day of.

Hi Everyone,
I have been following this thread for quite some time now and enjoy reading it. I was just curious if anyone has interviewed for a Technical Director Resident and was accepted.

I got a phone interview for TD Resident at the beginning of April, which I thought went pretty well, and still haven’t received an acceptance or rejection email. It was mentioned that if you get a phone interview they will email you a rejection email if you weren’t chosen. The waiting is just starting to kill me =)

Josh

A friend over at Pixar told me that as far as he’s concerned, “recruiting season” isn’t over yet.

Joro, if you’re not kidding, then you’re the best :smiley:

Here’s another tricky question, has anyone heard anything back from the Animation internship yet? That closed April 4.
Animation internship ftw; if you cut the mustard, they let you animate a small scene in their current feature film :D:D:D:D:D:D:D

That’s a good question. Am I kidding?

well, from my experience, you’re ALWAYS kidding.

To JoshM:

I applied Residency TD as well, and was interviewed on April 1st.
I remember my contact recruiter told me they will contact us within 2 weeks in the end of interview, but I don’t have any news yet.

Good luck with both of us and all the CG friends on this thread.

Thanks for replying. It sounds like they are focusing on getting the internships taken care of first. This waiting is just killing me =)

Good luck to everyone

Josh

Hey there, sorry to keep plaguing the forum with questions…BUT… does anyone know whether or not you receive a rejection letter only if you were scheduled for a phone interview? Or does everyone who applied receive one regardless of how far they got in the application process?

You will receive a rejection regardless.

Hey joro, you still haven’t told me if you were kidding or not

ah well just got my rejection e-mail im just happy i have an answer i can stop stressing :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m not kidding, unless my friend is. Which I don’t think he is, but then again he also said he hasn’t really looked into it.

How many people here are also applying for the Disney Animation internships? I applied for the production management one, let me know if any of you hear back

Many of us here are. I expect people to start hearing from them at least this week or next.
