Anyone heard anything from Disney yet, or had a status change on their app? I keep checking but nada here
I’ve been lurking for the past couple of weeks but just wanted to contribute the little that I can. Hi! :}
I applied for the Graphic Art internship 5 weeks ago and still haven’t received my, what I expect, my rejection letter. Am I the only one in this boat? I checked my application status and the date is still the same as when I submitted it. Hmm.
I just wish I could get some sort of email so I could stop stressing. Eeee.
Hi!
I applied for the same internship and heard nothing back either. The status has remained unchanged as well. Hopefully we’ll get some answers soon. : )
just got my rejection letter for TD
I applied to the graphic art internship too, but haven’t heard anything yet. I also applied for the post production internship in early March but haven’t heard about that one either. I don’t like to apply anywhere else if there is still a slight chance to get into Pixar because I feel like it might jinx my chances, so it would be nice to get some response from them soon. At least June is a only month away, so those rejection/acceptance emails for summer internships have to be coming any day now.
Hi there,
may i just enquire, how does one check their application status? I too, have applied for the graphic art internship…! just read here that we would get a letter of rejection regardless… but i’m just worried that the application didn’t even go through as i am not from the states…! ugh!
thanks for the help guys!!

Apparently you can’t, since I just got my rejection letter and the status on the website (or rather the date of the last update) is the same regardless.
This is spooky. i just joined this forum not 10 minutes ago and just received my long awaited rejection letter not 5 minutes ago!!
IT’S A SIGN! or something… man, wouldn’t it be cool if we could somehow coerce/convince a person from pixar to guest-appear on here and chat to us?
That would be awesome.
Poor person would be inundated with q’s too
So, like many others, I have joined just to see if anyone has applied for the art internship. If anyone has, have you heard anything back yet? Not hearing anything is killing me!
Also, any rumors about the Disney internships? I applied for the art and story internships there.
Just joined PIxarPlanet a few minutes ago after just finding out about this site and sitting and reading this thread for the past hour. I haven’t even been contacted for an interview yet for PostProduction. Is that a bad sign? Anyone know an email address I can contact?
Seriously don’t try to contact them. As they say don’t call them they’ll call you. They have a very busy HR team that doesn’t have time to reassure people who applied and are waiting for answers. I would never dare giving out any of their email addresses. You just have to hold your breath and keep waiting. That being said good luck!

Hey Absolemn,
I also applied for the post production internship and haven’t heard anything. And unfortunately Pixar explicitly states that they do not want us to contact them.
Best of luck!

I’d recommend not doing this, actually… I held out from applying other places after getting an interview last year, and when the bad news came I was double sad because I didn’t have ANY job (I ended up finding a great one for me, but it was so late in the summer that I was very lucky, stars aligned). It’s also worth noting that when I got an interview, they asked whether I had other opportunities - if you do, they are willing to interview you earlier and make a decision sooner, and if anything that helps your chances, instead of hurting them.
EDIT: I don’t think anyone here was applying to be an animation intern…but for what it’s worth, I follow a Pixar animator on twitter (hope that doesn’t make me a creeper D: She’s very entertaining!) and she said that the animation interns have been chosen. twitter.com/#!/cathicks
So! Any Disney rumors yet?
I applied for the Graphic Arts internship and I got the rejection e-mail Monday not giving up on this, but not too happy either.

Nyaw… I applied for the application internship, but no dice, I guess… I still haven’t heard anything :s
Thankyou for the news though, I can stop being all anxious about it
I’m so bummed right now. Everyone in my research group scored an internship somewhere except for me. 1 is headed to Weta, 3 are working in Disney Research, and another is working at DreamWorks in R&D. It is really embarrassing when you’re the only one in the group without something.
Hey, man, don’t sweat it.
You get to work on your own stuff for the summer, under your own steam!
I’m looking on my demo reel now, and realising how much I need to improve; the good news is, as long as you know how you can improve, you’re on the right track
It’s when you’re like, ‘you know what, I’m comfortable being less than the awesomest I can be.’ is when you need to worry.
As long as you can stand back and judge where you’re at and keep improving, you’ll be awesome
On a completely biased note, you seem like a pretty level headed and self-motivated guy, so I don’t doubt sooner than later you will get a offer
My high school offers this thing called SUCCESS Academy, in which half of your day at school is spent at normal high school classes, and the other half is taking advanced math, science, computer and English classes. When you graduate as a senior, you end up having an Associates degree that you worked on over the four years. I plan to do this, head on over to California, and spend at least a year at CalArts (I’m shooting high) so that I qualify for an internship. I’m hoping the early degree thing will give me an edge into becoming an intern in animation or story. Working at Pixar is like my dream job. No, wait. It IS my dream job.
Hey! I applied for the art internship and still haven’t heard anything from them. All my other friends who applied got a rejection letter. I hope I hear something next week at least!
