A friend of mine heard that she did not get te production internship, I got a view on LinkedIn, and also got asked for an interview with Media Systems!

When you got the view on LinkedIn, did it actually say it was someone from Pixar? I got a few views after my update (on the 1st this month) but they were anonymous viewers >_> I applied for the production internship, but haven’t heard anything yet. Did your friend get her email today?

Hi guys, I’m new here 
I applied for the PUP program. Unfortunately my application hasnt been updated since the 17th and I haven’t heard anything… but apparently other people are being interviewed right now for it. At this point should I just assume its a no for me and let it go?
Also… Somebody with a better memory than me, was our resume/CV required to submit the application itself? I know that you can upload it to your profile page but I can’t remember if there was an area on the actual application to upload those documents.
I think that people in consideration should be receiving interview emails over the next couple of days, but then again you never know… some people said that they were accepted well into the end of April/beginning of May.
Another question: does anyone here know of a forum for Disney internship applicants? or is this the main forum?

Media Systems is not a PUP internship. My friend texted me this morning that the rejection email was actually from Blue Skies, and not Pixar.
They asked me to send my availability to speak with a recruiter. The person who viewed my LinkedIn profile was visible, and it did say they are from Pixar.

@vslw I believe there was a space for the resume/CV to be uploaded onto the actual application, actually. What I remember from applying was that every time I chose to see the application again, it basically was the “update profile” layout.
And @Awhite congratulations! I didn’t even remember that they checked LinkedIn.
Week 7 here we go!!

So I’ve got a buddy who just helped set up a PUP-like internship over at Disney Animation! They JUST opened the internship and they are encouraging people to get their Apps in ASAP as they are going to conduct this process quickly. It’s called the 2015 Walt Disney Animation Studios Intern Program and it is geared towards younger students mostly 1st and 2nd year. But it is a WIDE spread of focus areas. They will teach the pipeline, the Disney way of storytelling, among various group projects, and LOTS of Art and Story content. They are trying to train more multi-disciplined artists. SUPER good opportunity. Get over to their site and get on it!

Everyone who has gotten emails from Pixar for interviews: The email did not go to spam did it?
It is geared for younger students, but if you are impressive and are returning to school…you just may raise some eyebrows. You never know…
It seems like Disney Animation only offered technology geared-internships this year so this is the first I’ve seen that is more production related. sigh And I’m too old. I just graduated but I’m looking for all the experience I can get at this point.
Oh don’t worry, I’m too old as well. Gotta push for those Residencies and Apprenticeships!
Just to clarify, are they looking for CG generalists? I looked on the website and its a bit non-specific. Im interested in this opportunity though!
They are looking for all sorts of students with an interest in animation. So it doesn’t need to be cg generalist you could have an interest in lighting and send them a lighting reel that also displays your awesome painting skills that further shows your understanding of how lighting works.
