SO Happy I found this thread. I applied for the summer animation internship back on Feb 21, and had not heard anything back one way or another, and was starting to worry. I had seen a couple people on twitter talking about being turned down for internships, and one person this weekend saying they got in!
I hadn’t received any rejection email or an invitation to interview, so I felt like I was in limbo. I noticed mention that the PUP applicants went first. Does this mean, the animation applications may be sorted & contacted next? Trying not to worry, but also trying to not get my hopes up too high!

I did receive a rejection email last year for a position I had applied to, but it wasn’t an internship one…so I was hoping to at least her back if it was a no. I guess no news is good news at this point?
Also…I logged in to view my status & mine has not been updated since the evening I applied. What does it mean if it gets updated? Does that mean they’ve viewed it? I saw people mention it earlier in the thread.

Does anyone remember summer internships staying open this late in April? Kinda odd. I wonder how last minute people will find out if they got it/ didn’t, or if there will even be interviews?
Hey so the PUPs are confirmed. I am glad to say I got in with 8 other applicants. Thank you so much for all of your advices and support. I heard that animation interns will hear from them in May.

I had a question…would it be bad to update my demo reel while I wait? Like…would pasting the new URL in the application be a bad idea? or a good one? I’ve come up with a few pieces since I applied that I could add in.

I applied for the Systems Mac Team internship and got an interview with a recruiter on Tuesday (4/14). I am now scheduled for a Skype interview next week. Has anyone had a Skype interview with Pixar before? If so, can you tell me what it was like? Thank you in advance!
