wonder: You know the chef who was in the teaser trailer – the one who was serving the cheeses? Well, I wonder if
he was Gusteau, or just another random chef?
It is probably the latter, though, judging by the fact that
Mr. Bird himself did the voice of that particular chef. However, you never know…

to have an Essential Guide to Ratatouille book.

they did for Finding Nemo and Cars, so I don’t doubt
that they’ll have one for Ratatouille. Should they, indeed, get one, you can bet
your chocolate chip cookies that I’ll buy it.

Mitch- I’ll be geting most of the Ratatouille
merchandise (I know I’m going to get posters and a t-shirt for sure).
I already have a box with a
picture Remy on it that has all my money that I’m saveing up for Ratatouille stuff. 
Yeah, I’m going to get posters and similar things, as well. Anything I can get my paws (and
money) on.

I
wonder if the official website will also update once a Ratatouille tv spot is shown?
My guess is that it probably will, but you never know.
When I see these Ratatouille books, I will just read
them in my local book store. I don’t think I will add these to my Pixar/(Incredibles) collection.

Sometimes, I will do the same thing: I’ll scan the pages of books first to see whether or not it appeals to me,
and then I’ll either purchase it then, later, or never. Although, in this case, there is no question about it
that I will buy all of the Ratatouille books before I even know what the covers look
like.

They will also probably update the backround picture(s), like you
said. As for the collectables – well, Disney has their own store, of course, so all
Ratatouille merchandise will most likely be located there.

wait for this film!
I do the same thing too. Instead, I look at the pictures, and the title. So if the
Ratatouille book appears to me from a visual stand point, I’ll read it.
According to the link that
JV provided, one of the books is a “Scratch and Sniff” paperback. I wonder
what kind of smells will be included in that particular book? Gouda…swiss…havarti? Too bad you can’t eat
'em.
Scratch and sniff? Intresting. I
predict that it would smell like the ingredients Remy would use in his own cooking. Just cheese would be a little
too dull.
Very interesting, indeed. I love those little “scratch and sniff” booklets,
especially now that I can actually smell – heheh.
You’re right – there will probably be more of a
variety in the book. I know for a fact that Remy makes his famous omelette dinner in the film, so perhaps
they’ll have a sniff patch that smells like an omelette? I’m sure they’ll also have a ratatouille scent, as
well. Let’s pray that they will have a blueberry pancake smell… (snigger)
