Yeah, yeah, you’re right. I’m just overly fangirly. XD
No, i’m not aywhere in MI.
Well, they have A113 in every one of their films. It might even be in a different place to where we think it is…
Monsters, Inc. - Sign seen in the background when Sulley sees Smitty and Needleman loading the trash compactor.
Yeah, but the trouble is, I studied that scene and still couldn’t find it. I’m not saying it isn’t there, just that I couldn’t see it.
Anyone got a screencap of that scene?
Awesome list guys! I thought I knew most hidden Pixar nods, but I certainly learned a lot more from reading this. I love how Pixar creates a coherent world with references to all their movies. I did notice though that Pixar hasn’t been making as many references to future movies as of lately. I hope they bring more of those back.
Captain Pixar - Actually, in Cars they referenced Ratatouille (the Eiffel Tower-looking picture of a traffic cone in Sally’s hotel, but I don’t think I have that up on the list, yet) and in Ratatouille, they referenced both WALL•E (the cockroach running up the wall) and Up (the dog’s shadow).
And in the Incredibles, you can see Doc Hudson in the final battle with the Omnidroid.
By the way Captain Pixar, Welcome to PIxar Planet! Nice name ya got there.
Rachelcakes1985- True. I just feel like they use to do more references, but I guess your right they still do.
The Star Swordsman- Thanks! I figured it would fit well with the site being Pixar Planet.
Well, you are welcome Captain Planet. I hope you enjoy your time here.
Rachel: I think I have more “in-jokes” for TI. WAnt me to PM them to you when ever I can get can?
I’ve noticed some references in WALL-E. Since the film was just released to theaters last Friday, I’ve “spoliered” them.
[spoil]AUTO’s directive is A113.[/spoil]
[spoil]EVE blasts a Pizza Planet truck at the begining of the film on WALL-E’s conveyor belt. A toy of Mike from Monsters, Inc. also appears on the conveyor belt.[/spoil]
The Star Swordsman - Yeah, if you could PM them to me that would be great, or you can just post them here, whatever’s easiest for you. Thanks.
Bill - Thanks. I’ll add them after I’ve seen the movie, or maybe even after the movie comes out on DVD when I can get good screencaps of the references. There’s no rush to add them to the list, really. But it’s always good to have lots of possible references to later go back to and add in…
Reading only the first post so far (So sorry if anyone already mentioned this), but I think you missed an Easter egg in Finding Nemo.
This is no visual; therefore, can’t provide pictures to prove this, but instead go watch the films…
But anyways, in the Dentist’s office, the music you here playing in the background in the waiting room is also the same background music that you hear playing in Roz’s office in Monsters Inc. In Nemo, the exact part where the Dentist sits Darla down into the chair for her checkup is where you will hear the familiar tune.
EDIT: Also, with the very last Ratatouille reference… How do you know that dog in the wall rat sequence is gonna be in Up?
Disney Guy - Thanks for the submission, I didn’t notice that the music was the same. And I got the “dog from Up” information from the Ratatouille Blu-Ray audio commentary - Brad Bird says so, apparently. Again, if someone could confirm this, that would be great.
I don’t know if this has been mentioned yet, but WALL-E’s name has A113 in it. (take away the W, make the L’s lowercase, reverse the E"
(W)All-3
If it has already been mentioned, I apologize, carry on.
Oh wow, I never really noticed that. I’m not sure if it was intended. Never heard that one before.
Thanks, bright dot-dasher. I think I have heard that theory before, but I forgot it and it hadn’t been submitted to this thread yet, in any case. What a neat, and in-your-face reference.
No, it wasn’t intended. IDK why WALL•E’s name is WALL•E, but the good question is why not?
Also, Wikipedia is known for their false rumors.
Well, I think I just sent the last of them. I hope you get my PM rachel.
