The Lion King

Is this spam?

^ Pretty sure it is. :stuck_out_tongue:

Anyway, I just saw The Lion King today again, and it was pretty cool :3

Just on VHS, though. I don’t really like 3D. Think of the pirates with their eyepatches! Poor fellows, can’t even see this awesome movie in the cinema.

Wait, it’s 2D as well? There’s still hope for those pirates! 8D

I didn’t know that they were doing this in 2D. All my cinema has for The Lion King is in Disney Digital 3D.

Mine has both.

I think I could be wrong on it being only in 3D. I’ll have to look in the paper tomorrow.

Mine has both. But I still ca’t see it because of the money. :frowning:

Maybe you can borrow from your parent’s?

No, that’s the point.

I heard that it was good. But I might skip it because everytime I watch something in 3D, i always get a headache.

Looked at the theatre two minutes from my house and they had both versions. I guess I was thinking about another local theatre.

3D gives me a migraine also. And, to me, it’s not worth the extra money. :unamused:

Exactly my thoughts. I mean, Lion King was amazing when it first came out. So I ask, is 3D worth it? I dont think so.

I think the people who where in their teen’s and as a kid when they saw it should let their kid’s see it in 2D so they can get the same exsperence.

agree. I’ll make it up to Disney by buying the new DVD version of Lion King. Because, I do love the movie. Just not enough to see it in 3D.

Personally, I thought it was a great idea for it to be released because it would be nice for some of the newer Disney fans to get to see one of their best films on the bigscreen. Personally, I would see it in 2D of course.

And it will revive hand drawn animation a little.

You guys are right. It’s nice to introduce this generation with a true disney masterpiece instead of the garbage on TV nowadays. BUt is 3D necessary?

I agree. And I don’t think 3D is necessary for a 2D Animated film.

Like Pixarfan said, I think it’ll revive hand drawn animation a little. Lasseter I think wants to bring it back. It’s definitly nice to see a hand drawn film since alot of animated films nowadays are in CG or mo-cap.

I wonder how many of these kids have seen a hand drawn film in theaters.
