I didn’t mean scandal in a bad way, I was just…I don’t know. It’s late, and that was an attempt at a conversation. Failure!!
But anyway, I really worry sometimes that they won’t continue the story.

Even if they don’t, that doesn’t mean that we can’t via our imagination.
True that. But my and other people’s imagination will never fill the void in my heart. Wow, that sounded stupidly dramatic…anyway, every year there isn’t a sequel, I die and go crazy a -little- bit more.
You die and get a little crazy every year a TI sequel hasn’t been announce?
how do you think I feel?
True. Too bad adoring, deteriorating fans aren’t enough motivation.
It’s all entirely up to Pixar. I’m sure that if they decide to do one, the fans will come back.
That works too.
the fans will come back no matter where they take the story…its just the devoted lovers of The Incredibles that will decide if it is a masterpiece…
Well said Al-Bob.
I have to admit that as long as Bob was still the main character and Bird was still the director, I would see the movie no matter how stupid the plot sounded.
I think Bob will still remain as the main character. I would like that too.
I would too.
Personally, my two biggest fears are change of director and/or focus. Either one of those would make me not want to see it.
What about setting? What places would you like the Parrs have their next adventure at?
I feel the same. Any change of either one will turn me to some other movie.
…I would think it would be set in America, in Metroville, where they live.
No, that isn’t waht I meant. For the first movie, they went to the city, an island jungle, a secret base, in the air, and a super suit workshop. Where would you like to see TI go to next time?
i would like to see them go to maybe a slightly darker place. Like a sewer or underground village to look for clues…people…etc. Then they could go to Skyscrappers to crack down on mega schemes involving money and higher ranking people. Lastly they would need something important and risky to either save or destroy. This would create story for whatever the bad character wants. A good example would be “DE MOOOOONNNN!!!” or something as basic as a giant companies infastructure or product.
Examples;
-BNL has recently come out with a new hovercraft design. Unfortunitly they fired the original designer over fraud and money handling issues (yah kinda like Riddler but still unique). Anyway the guy comes back as a bad character to destroy the BNL company over allegations of betrayal and stealing his design and idea. Ultimately the BNL owner and the guy become evil and are both taken down. The design (product) can still hold a huge threat if used for Military purposes and also stealable by other nations and groups. This could become really bad if it is some sort of a flying or hovering prototype.
-A genius has created a silent noise frequency that can disrupt brain communications. In other words it stops nerve cell communication. Unfortunitly he doesn’t have a large enough metal transmitter to cover the globe. So he invents a system of check points that will bounce the waves off of structures such as the Statue of Libery, the Empire State building, The Leaning Tower of Pissa, and other large structures around the world to cripple the entire species of human beings. The Incredibles must stop the transmittion by stopping the takeover of such famous landmarks.
-Syndrome, somehow alive (yah typical) vows revenge on the Incredible family by, instead of hurting their children, hurting their favor. He goes good claiming to be the savior of the world (starting overseas of course). He does a good job until his arch nemesis encounters him and challenges him to a duel. After both realize their real agendas they join forces to wipe the world of supers and reclaim humanity. (i don’t like this one as much)
These 3 examples are all free writing in 5 minutes…i really like 1 and 2…
For individual places;
We kinda are gunna see most of the neat places in Cars 2 so we need new ideas to spark interest. If you want to go more towards the teenagers in the world go for underground villages (homeless cities), the crime there is rampant and hiding is key. If that doesn’t float your boat then a typical mafia Italy village could work pretty well too. What if an entire village was owned by a bad guy? He could totally buy a city and renovate it for his own mastermind. http://www.usatoday.com/news/nation/2008-07-13-cityforsale_N.htm
Or if you wanted more rugged hometown feel you could have the incredibles travel to Texas or Colorado or Arizona to escape the busy city life and find small remote villages or even more larger cities. The four corner states are pretty active with problems and small villages so it would be perfect for a four state robbery or set-up. Otherwise you could have them go to the central part of the states for some real country time. The plains and open fields would be great battle scenes if you were using high tech gadgets and super powers. New York city and other metropolises are overused at this point. Even more so if you consider the first film to be held mostly in Nomanisan and Metropolis…we might want to move away from jungle paradise and citylife.
What do you think…?
Dude, I love the three ideas you posted Al-Bob! I know that the Syndrome Idea might sound cliche, but due, really brilliant. I think my favorite is the second one. It allows more places to travel. But I think that could be a problem in itself. As the audience might not have enought screen time to enjoy it.
