I still like my idea…but everyone else’s sounds great…
I like your idea. It sounds pretty dark and interesting. Angry mob could escalate into something bigger.
like an escalation into a reform of super powers…to limit the amount of disaster or destruction that one super person can posses…
That would then enforce scientific changes to the super structure (DNA) which could lead to another hiding of the supers to evade Government control. Then you could make the government the “bad guy” with even menial public support.
What do you think? Should it be simpler?
It ROCKS!!!
Five years? Okay. But I don’t understand those who want it decades in the future. For my taste, the ideal would be right where the original ended. But, if there is a sequel, that is unlikely.
It could be like Invader Zim–Twenty Minutes into the Future.
Well, I think we want it at a time where Mr. Incredible and Elastigirl can still fight crime. I don’t want to see them retire just yet.
Me neither…and besides, you know what an entire movie about the Incredible kids could be like…Violet, Jack-Jack, and Dash…
I wouldn’t mind if they focused on them. but if they do decide to put the focus on the kids, I want them to be more mature. if they focus on them while at their current ages, i get this feeling ti’s gonna be a silly kids movie.
I agree, but knowing Pixar, they can do it…
I wouldn’t like the movie if it wasn’t about Mr. I as the main protagonist. I’m sure that sounds premature and judgemental, but hey, I only love the movie so much because of the characters of Bob and Helen. If it was mostly about their offspring…I’m sure it would be a good movie, but personally, I would not see it.
I wonder what kind of moral theme will be highlighted in a potential sequel.
Hopefully something really juicy…and not like Barney’s crappy morals.
Great idea SUllyMike.
[This sounds really ridiculous when I say it out loud, but I’ll share anyways… ]
I think it could(meaning I would love it) center on Bob and Helen deciding whether the kids can be heroes, or if they have to “grow up” more. Yeah, it’s stupid. But I think they could do it.
You mean having Bob and Helen trying to decide wheter Vi and Dash is ready for the “big leauges” sort of, but having Vi and Dash constantly insist to their parents that they are ready?
Precisely. Again, it’s juvenile, somewhat uncreative, and just not a great idea, but it just really appeals to me for some reason.
I don’t think It’s juvinille. I see two ways that the story can unfold. One, Helen and Bob is reluctant to allow their kids to enter the dangerous job of Super heroes. But also, the kids can insist on being ready, but are obviously :rough around the edges. Maybe the kids can go do moonlighting hero work if their parents don’t approve of them doing regular hero work.
Ah, scandal! But anyway, whenever think of plots for the sequel that aren’t entirely selfish, that’s all I get.
But it creates conflict. Conflict is essential for a great story.
