The Ultimate Incredibles Sequel

On Topic for the sequel…

Man i can’t believe how long school can take. If you guys still would like my help on writing certain parts of the story i have been taking writing classes at CGCC (Chandler Gilbert Community College) and now fully understand a little but more about the technique and art of fiction. Let me know what has been arranged or discussed and because school ends on Thursday i would be happy to help out in whatever way possible.

Hey Al-Bob! Welcome back dude! I totally missed ya! It’s great to see you back on to the forums again!

We’re just discussing possible ideas that we would like to see in here. We’ve got a lot of ideas. So far my favorite one is about having the family deal with the pressures of being Supers. Like having the public having high expectations on them and balancing that with their everyday life.

I just hope if one is ever made, it is actually directed by Brad Bird, and has some {fairly} original ideas. It wouldn’t be possible to completely avoid taking from something, but I wouldn’t want it to be too similar.

I agree about Brad needing to direct. I don’t even want an Incredibles sequel at all, but he would need to be behind the helm no matter what. Any other pixar movie I would rather see a new director do the sequel, but the Incredibles would have to be Brad again.

Personally, I wouldn’t want anyone else but Brad Bird to do the sequel, should he decide to do one. He knows the characters better than anyone, so it makes sense to have him direct it.

If they do will it take place year’s later or not long after the first one.

Unless they wanted to go way out on a limb and talk about the origin of the supers…but then you are approaching X-Men status and that franchise is bad. I think the best way would be to go forward with maybe implications from the past coming back. A sequel would need to focus on the blending of the supers back into society mainly through the lives of Violet and Dash with Jack-Jack coming to age. The family could be really torn between protecting one another and just letting each other control their destiny. Violet might consider stopping her super abilities because they aren’t much to look at. And if she quits she might have the oppertunity to lead a normal life with Tony. Dash wants to show off, he won’t ever quit the supers program but might get too head strong and use his powers for alternate uses. Jack-Jack might have problems controlling his powers if he is too headstrong. Something about his nature would create much conflict (man that was so yoda style right there) 8D .

Anyway a sequel is definitely something Brad Bird wants to do and Pixar would love to explore. Now all we need is a bad guy and we can create chaos!

I hope that the characters don’t age that much.

I know, only by a few years, 10 at most.

I would personally like to see Violet at 18 Dash at (what would it be 16?) and Jack-Jack at 11…that would be cool. I can’t remember their ages…

I think it was Violet-13, Dash-10, Jack-Jack-1.

Yeah, those ages are acurate.

ouch…feel sorry for Mrs. Parr. Twelves years is a long time to finally have the third child. ooh, maybe they lost one? It just seems to be a bit of a large gap between 10 and 1???

There could be a story there.

In Family Guy, there’s a 12 year gap for Stewie and Chris. 9 year gap for Maggie and Bart in the Simpson’s.

Contraceptive measures didn’t work, resulting in Jack-Jack?

Violet is 13/1. Dash is 10. So they waited 8 years before Jack-Jack came to be. Big age gap, but it happens.

I’d like to see a sequel where the family tries to deal with Jack-Jack’s newfound powers. Maybe Dash brings Jack-Jack to show and tell, and something goes wrong…they’d have to hide Jack-Jack somewhere until the angry mob cools off. But, I fear it’d be too much of a rehash from the first movie with a road trip thrown in. :~o

Honestly, I would be devastated if they aged very much. I would be very happy with 2 years or less.

I agree…

Same here. But I would be happy if we can extend it to five years. Anything higher than that is too much for me.
