I decided to try to shorten my Mr. P’s legs. I chopped them down to the right size ad now im waiting for the glue to dry. I hope I didnt mess up any of the electronics. Il post some pictures when hes finished. Eventually, I hope to get some seperate eyes as well.
I was just at toys r us, and they have the price tags on the shelf for lotso, bullseye, Jessie, and Buzz. Bad news they are all $49.99! That is way to much for a Teddy bear. They also have some sort of dual pack with chunk and spark for $24.99, most likely not to scale. I asked someone about the empty shelves, and they said they accidently put them on the shelf yesterday and had to take them down till May 1st.
If thats the case, it sounds like, unlike the first wave where it was pretty much sell when you get them in, that this wave is being treated like dvds and games, ie it has a street date that stores cant sell them before. Depending on how strict Disney is, the stores can be fined for selling them early. I geuss they werent as strict before, but now they want to make sure that all/most stores that will carry them have these toys in stock when they go on sale.
Just think of all the Jessie’s and Lotso’s that must be in storage in the back rooms…heh
As for the price, Jessie is exactly what I expected, but it is odd that Lotos is 10 dollars higher than the MSRB.

I would assume that the street date is for all stores, but it depends on how well stocked your store is. For example, my Target has only ever stocked the Bucket O’ Soldiers and Buzz Lightyear from the Collection, and at one point RC, but some other people’s Target stores have stocked all or most of the Collection. ToysRUs is probably the only place that is almost certain to have all of these on May 1st, as that is what the store specializes in.
Just a couple of days to go for most of you guys. It’s gonna be one long wait here in the UK. We don’t even have a date yet. Mr P should be here by the end of May. I don’t think we will see wave 2 until the end of June at the earliest. I’m suprised to see them all priced the same though. I expected to see Bullseye at a higher price and Lotso a little lower

Interesting, yet funny at the same time, by the time you add shipping to that you could have bought the 3 pack with COA. unless you think glowing in the dark makes up for the price.
of course that’s just for this particular auction. I wonder what its normal price will be once their not rare? about 8 bucks maybe? I want to say 5 bucks, but I’m trying to allow for them to over price it like most of their toys seem to be. at the same time it has to make sense since there is a 3 pack out.
the cool thing about selling these separate is that I kinda prefer the one in this auction more than the others. the closed mouth one is more accurate since the insides of the other two’s mouths arent painted, and this one is closer to their default Toy mode pose. So if I wanted 3 of just this alien I could do so.but I dont think I will. at least not any time soon.
It’s funny you should make the point about the painting of the aliens mouth. I was looking at them on the ts3 official site. If you use the 360 option you will notice as he/she turns the inside of the mouth remains the same as the outer. It looks as though the darker colouring of the inside is shadow. So painted or not, both options would seem correct. I only point this out because I was toying with painting mine.
It is shadow, yes, but see, in the 3D model he has a a lot of space inside his mouth, which makes it much darker most of the time he appears on screen. the problem with the toys is not only is their mouth hole shallow, but the fact that the plastic is a bit translucent it appears very light in there. it never looks good to me. which is why I think it would look so much better if properly painted. otherwise just keep his mouth shut so we can avoid this.
Those are probably about $8 at Target. Thank you for hte heads up, I’ll check my Target this weekend!
EDIT: Didnt realize it was just a glow in the dark version of the one in the 3 pack, but still cool regardless. I’ll pass unless I see any on clearance, but the 3 pack is $24, I see this at around $10. What a savings, hahaha. Target Exclusive, Pay MORE! What a bargain, haahha.
With that said, if I would’ve saw this before the 3 pack, I just would’ve got this. Didnt really want 3 aliens, one is fine.
What did you think it was at first? Im just curious. Did you think it was a real squeek toy or something?
At first I thought it was a different facial expression than the 3 in the 3-pack. Hopeful thinking I guess. It just proves the “double dip” though, which Hasbro is doing with the TSC Potato head.
Random question about Mr. P. After you shorten his legs and glue them on again, is it better to screw the bottoms of his feet on again? It looks more like the movie without them but does he need them?

That’s true, I hadn’t thought about the Disney Store, they will probably have them too, but they’re usually more expensive there, aren’t they? I haven’t been in awhile, so I’m just going off of the website prices and other people’s claims.
