I was at Target and they too had empty shelves with price stickers. The only new TSC item was Mr. P. They had a TS3 Slinky for $14.99, and the aliens were priced at $9.99. They told me their date was also 5/1.

I was reading my comments on mr=y review of potato head and someone said they gt him at target for 45 bucks like 2 or 3 days ago.
There is no new slinkydog, its the same one we’ve already seen.
It will at least be in a new box lableled TS3, that’s why you can get the older one for $7.50 right now. Whether it’s better or not, I don’t know. But they have tons of the old ones, and I don’t see why someone would pay twice the price for just a box.
About a possible new TS3 Slinky, I guess we never know Kyle… I remember a time when people were pretty sure we wouldn’t be getting a full-sized Hamm but look what happened. Hopefully they will have learnt from threads like this that at least the string between the eyes should go, not to mention all the other inaccurate scales of limbs and tail etc…

Kyle is %100 correct, the pictured Slinky Dog is nothing more than a new box. It is the 96 release, not the 95 (the 95 was even CRAPPIER)
They’ll never get slinky right, because his actual model in real life is really top heavy, which would be counter balanced by an even heavier “chest” section. But kids toys wont do that, so all thats out there is that. For mass produced anyways.
EDIT: I’m setting here, remembering how pissed off I get, everytime I look at Toy Story things and see Slinky Dog, in his blind box with false picture on the front. How many of us bought him thinking thats what was inside? Because I did that very same thing in 1995. Anyitme I see a new slinky, I open it in the store, to make sure that YEP its the shit one. Is it illegal for them to do that? Whoever buys one blindly (myself included) has done what people do on NY street corners. Fork over cash for a box, that you dont know what the hell is inside.

Can’t wait for Potato Head now. I just hope Play.com don’t push him back any further is is currently due for release on 15th May but I have a feeling if will creep back further. I’m soo bored of looking at my crappy one! I can’t wait to change him into Disney World Potato head he has great features!

Just being curious about the Mr. Potato Head TSC, what does his moustache look like? How detachable is it? I remember in the film that it was just a clip on, but on Playskool’s it had an annoying loop so you had to take his nose off to take off the stache. Is this the same thing with the newer one?
Also, any close ups of his Certificate of Authenticity?
You do have to take off the nose to remove it, annoying yes, but if I remember right (and I might not, its been well over 10 years) the older style mustache had trouble staying on. I like that this one is more secure.
So, is it like a clip or something? Or is it still a loop?
Umm…its like a loop but with a break in it. So its not a complete circle, but close to it. not sure what you’d call it.
