Nope. unless I’m missing something, and I don’t think I am. just double checked too.
Alright, well thanks. I don’t have the TSC Buzz yet, I’m still debating which version I’ll get. I’m just afraid Utility Buzz won’t feel like Andy’s toy to me.
I’m wondering if the belt has any of the stuff it had in the movie like magnet handles ang grafiling hook. I hope it does .
I’m almost positive it doesn’t.
I would definitely get the normal one. The utility belt buzz is alright, but he didn’t play a big enough role to get him in place of the normal. if you don’t already have the normal Buzz I would get that first. then buy the other one if you still think you want it.
Thinkway really know how to milk our money
they could of made us a differnt toy instead of Utility belt buzz
not really. they had their work cut out for them. its a lot easier and cheaper to modify an existing toy than a whole new one. just look at the hundreds of transformers repaints out there there are. your not getting Utility belt buzz in place of another, this was just a way to make a quick buck. and frankly that too is accurate to the movie. I always felt they were making fun of the toy industry’s tendency to release slightly modified toys to convince kids they needed the latest and greatest.
Well, that stand in the movie was promoting the new belt. The Buzz Lightyear wearing it was just a normal Buzz Lightyear figure. But since he never takes it off during the movie, I guess it’s acceptable.
How do we know that was a normal buzz?
It was taken straight from the original box, which he’s also displayed with. That’s also the same box he puts Andy’s Buzz into.
But the utility belt was still a new feature for the Buzz figure. Here’s a screenshot from the scene where Buzz first notices it:

I also like the way Thinkway used the same graphic design on the TSC Utility Belt Buzz to advertise the belt.
Has anyone find that Chunk or Twitch figure on Amazon.com yet? I REALLY want those two!! That Twitch looked AWESOME!!!
I was referring to a store you can go to. Somewhere you can purchase them and NOT out of stock.
A few pages back someone posted about the non-Collection Jessie being on Amazon, but I was just on there and found this:
amazon.com/Disney-Pixar-TS3- … 0&sr=1-131
It’s the Collection version, and she’s only 39.95, like Bullseye, and Lotso, who is 39.99 now, but still essentially the same price. They’re all out of stock right now, but I think saving an extra 30 bucks, plus tax, since they all ship for free with Amazon Super Saver Shipping, is definitely worth the wait til they get some in.
Oh i don’t think there out yet
I did see the Chatterphone with the same packaging today for 22.99
but no other new characters
Hey Guys,
So I just took some photos of my new Toy Story Collection Mr Potato Head. Overall, aside from the current eye problem, I’m very pleased with this model and very glad that I picked him up.
As many of you already know, here’s what the front of his box looks like
[img]
here’s the back
here he is, after having all of his parts popped off
eyes

back of the eyes (you can see the hexagonal pegs, which is why he can’t use other Mr. Potato Head parts)

derby (which also has a peg underneath)

underside of hat

close up eye socket

slider mouth hole (none of the other pieces can fit here, unfortunately)

back of body, with instant ‘Pop Parts’ button

here’s his battery compartment. the grid on his back- pocket makes it hard to be able to function as anything else

since the pegs are on opposite sides for his eyes, you can put both on at the same time[/i]

comparison shot with my Luxo Jr. build

And finally, a close up of his COA
Sorry if it seems like I posted a lot of pics. I wanted to save pictures of him before I decide to hack him tomorrow. Also, thanks so much Kyle for your tips on how to fix my Mr. Potato Head!
Dude, I gotta see a profile of your Luxo Jr.! I have the official one, but being plastic its not that impressive. I’d like to see how yours compares from other angles.
Notice how John doesn’t say “created the character” since it’s really Hasbro’s character, but he did create his film personality anyway.
Seeing the size and shape of those pegs now shows me just how impossible it would be to get those on a regular Potato Head (especially since they’re metal instead of plastic). I’ll just have to wait and see if they’re ever going to redesign the regular Potato Head after this one if I want him to have better parts.
Sure Kyle. It’s not quite finished yet, I need to replace the remaining rubber bands with actual springs, but everything’s exactly to scale. It’s a model replica that I based off the giant 30ft statue at Pixar Animation Studios. It’s made of metal and of course uses a real light bulb.

Also, couldn’t agree with you more Flik-E. I’ll definitely probably get the new Playskool Potato Head in the fall, depending on how good it looks. I mainly got this one because I needed a toy voiced by Don Rickles.
