How do we know for sure that the main enemy isnt [spoil] PricklePants, because he’s been the least marketed character, making his reveal feel like spoilers. Even though that’s true that he’s been seen the least all the clips I’ve seen of those characters seemed to imply to me that [spoil]Mr. Pricklepants was a character with a nice friendly voice while Lotso would talk nice but in some clips give off the feeling of being sinister[/spoil] so I’d have to disagree.

With the lack of Pricklepants merch as opposed to Lotso merch out, I would think Pricklepants is the villian. But thats just by juding street dates on toys, and lack of Pricklepants merch, and factoring in that no one has seen the movie, hahah Having Lotso be the villian, feels like a ripoff of Toy Story 2, becasue everyone would now see it coming,(pete)

Ok, back on topic, I was looking up pics of thinkways Lotso (non-tsc) and then it hit me! LOTSO IS DAN CONNORS DAD!!! HAHAH!!! AWEsome!! I love Roseanne, and it just now hit me where the hell I’ve seen him from. So we’ve got “Jackie” as Andys mom, and “Dans” dad as Lotso! PLUS Jim Varney was on Roseanne! Can anyone think of any other Toy Story players that have appeared on Roseanne?
Anyways, back on topic for real! Anyone have a video review of the TSC Lotso? I was so damn pumped to not spend $50 on Lotso, but after finding out he’s “dans dad” I’m just too nerdy joyed not to get the TSCer now, hahaha.
I know you insist he’s the same overall as the non collection one, minus the electronics, but the more pics I see of of the two, the more I’m convinced the TSC one is made of a fabric with finer, softer fibers. you can just see how the cheap one is more rug like in texture. not nearly that rough of course, but the TSC one definitely looks softer to me. at least fabric wise. its probably hard more in the center for its batteries and whatnot, but still.
I still believe they’re the same fabric, as thats more expensive to obtain than manufactoring parts, because they’re obtaing an off the shelf item bought in bulk, someone has to get paid. But, I wont be either until I see them in person, as online pics always alter the look, etc, and “seeing is believing” hahaha.
does walmart supply these toys? i keep checking my walmart site and it doesnt have it…(then again walmarts never really on top of things like websites) so has anyone seen or have a tsc toy that they recieved from walmart
I’ve never seen ant TSC things at walmart, but I have seen them listed online, and online Canada walmart. Walmart just tends to get in wholesale junk, and not much collector worthy product.

Wait, I take that back, I totally forgot that I did in fact see a collection item at walmart, even yesterday. The Bucket of Soldiers. They look kick ass if you havent already got them, and they’re a good in-stock kind of thing.
For those wondering, I finally made a comparisson between the boxes of real-life and movie Buzz Lightyear.
The bottom part of the box definately looks a bit squashed, and that’s because they must’ve made the box wider to compensate for his arms. Some other tiny differences are the shape of the wings and it’s missing the curve at the top of the box.
Thats quite a difference between the two. It’s that hands on hip stance of the tsc Buzz that widens the box so much. There’s also the fact that the animators don’t have to worry so much about the real life mechanics of the inner sleeve.
Well I can’t think of any but I remember Jackie’s son’s name was Andy and she played Andy mom so it’s a huge coincidence. That’s all I have

Lotso is the villian in Toy Story 3. I was at Border’s reading the Toy Story Storybook Collection, and went to the last story, which was based on Toy Story 3. The last scene before the final one shows (or reads) Lotso running away from Woody & the Gang caught up in some sort of trash collector (It looked like that one thing from Robots) and shouting something along the lines of, “So long, Suckers!”
Anyway, I agree… can someone do a video review of Lotso and show him next to the other TSCers? I know we’ve got pictures, but I like videos.[/spoiler]
I went by Walmart today. No Lotso at all, but there were the rocket blast Buzz, Playtime Woody and Jessie.
Here’s the thing that gets me- each and every version of Buzz, Woody and Jessie uses the same head for each respective character. I.e. The cheapest 12" Buzz uses the same headmold that the most expensive version uses (except the robotic Buzz you can program).
Each Woody has the same headmold (which I hate, especially since he’s grinning again- without the closed mouth headmold) and the same goes for Jessie.
Buzz, I can understand- his toy persona has him grinning with teeth exposed. But Woody and Jessie, what … on earth… is going through Thinkway’s head? If I’m shelling out $50 for a doll, it better look right, and not just like the $29 version. -Omar

As I understand it, the open mouth smile is Pixars doing, not Thinkways. Thinkway was going to do the closed mouth, they only opened it to relfect the new model data they were given.
