Has anyone else noticed an extreme lack of “quality control” with the CoA Buzz Lightyears? The first one I bought, his communicator didnt function right, it wouldnt actuate on and off when I opened or closed it unless I physically depressed the button. I returned that one, then the next had a broken right knee ratchet joint! I’m on the third one now, and I’m affraid to see what could be wrong with this one, at least Woody didnt have issues other than a little extra paint on his lip.
I think this whole line has quality control issues. if theres more problems with buzz its because he has more going on feature wise than the others. I mentioned this before, but my first buzz had a defective lower qualty speakers. apparently it has a high quality one for the interactive stuff, and a lower quality one for his toy mode. the one didnt work at all. my second buzz is fine for the most part, but he has some paint coming off his chest. it almost looks like its melting or something.
I think paint alignment is the main problem their having but clearly electronics are having issues too. heck, even Mr P was delayed due to being defective.
I still havn’t bought the aliens because the paint on the ones Ive seen hasnt met my standards.
I wonder if they had to slack on quality control to afford making them as accurate as they are (when they turn out well anyway).
Yeah, what bothers me is the fact that this is a $50 figure. I mean, maybe its the rush to get them out for Christmas sales that has the recent lots having TONS of defects in the paint. I have also noticed the neck motors have been sticky with the ones they are shipping now. Maybe I’m being picky, but if this line is the “definitive” line, I expect exceptional quality. I shouldnt have to go over the figure personally and correct what should have been done right in the first place. 
Well my local Toys R Us in Hudson, FL finally got a shipment of the bucket of soldiers with the certificate. I’m thinking that the misprinted ones may have ran through now.

The old one’s aren’t misprinted they are actually completely different sculpts too. 
For some reason, the middle belt loop on the back of my Woody isn’t in the center, it’s misaligned. Anyone else have this?
If mine’s off its only by like, 2 millimeters.
In case some people haven’t realized it yet that Mr. Potato Head is back to Target.com. Only now he says you can be notified when available. This can mean that he could be coming out some time this week or thanksgiving week.

Well I contacted Thinkway toys about all the issues I have been having with my buzz last week. I was told by a customer service rep to send in the OG receipt and they would send me a new, factory tested figure which should be free of flaws. I am sure if others spoke up they would do something on a wider scale. At $50 bucks a pop or more there is no reason NOT to have them be perfect or close to it.
Can you please post a pic of the back of your Woody doll, so that I can compare it to mine? Thanks.
Ok what the heck!!! Look at this it’s Jessie and it has to be the Toy Story Collection one, but why is Thinkway Toys being so uniformational and careless??? First we see Mr. Potato Head and then we don’t, now he’s on Target.com but not available. Theres Jessie in the commercial but no Mr. Potato Head and who else is supposed to be made we’ve seen a Hamm but heard nothing about him!! If Jessie is not coming out until next year then why is she in the commercial and does that mean that there will be other waves before hers. Or do we really have to wait that long for the next wave?? I mean damn, could we get a line up with release dates or something!!! I’m sorry if I seem rude but I am so anxious for these toys I need to have some sort of understanding!!! Not these mixed match hints and lies!!!

tell me about it Andy2010! I’ve been waiting for M. Potato Head since! Don’t worry i practically feel the same way you do about the releasing! I too find it stupid that they show Jessie on the commercial, but not Mr. Potato Head! I worry about when he will show up in stores! I just wish he’d come out now!!! 
I saw this on a website from Brazil, it says it’s from the Toy Story Collection.

Looks to me like an early prototype or something, because there are some differences between it and the final product, and not only in the face.
Man, it really irks me that they considered the closed mouth smile at one point. the only thing wrong with that face would have been the eyes, he’s not looking straight on, and shouldnt have eyelids showing.
But yeah, it has to be a prototype, the body is pretty different too. the arms for one are angled out more. and torso seems a bit more boxy or something.
And Woodypride, I’ll snap that pic you wanted, Ive just been busy all week.
Wow that prototype picture annoys the crap out of me! Like Kyle said, that still wouldn’t have been a perfect likeness but just the fact that they were experimenting with it and then dropped it sucks.
