I don’t know how possible this is, but I would love to have a Mr. Spell Toy Story Collection Toy. He was a deeply neglected toy in merchandising and I think it would be really cool to see him as a toy.
It wouldn’t be that difficult either, I think. I mean the old Speak&Spell came out in the 80s so updating it shouldn’t be too hard.
As cool as it would be if they actually made “Toy Story Collection” versions of lesser known characters (like Mr. Spell), at this point, I’m just hoping they actually release the last of the main set of characters from the first movie (Mr. Potato Head, Hamm, Slinky Dog, and Bo Peep) and then from the second movie (Jessie and Bulleye). Then if they wanted to start releasing other ones, I’d be fine with that.
yeh i’m with lone star on this. you know what toyn story toys i would love to see in the toy story collection iwould have to be
jessie
bullseye
hamm
mr & mrs potato head
bo peep & her sheep
slinky dog
mr. spell
the snake
the robot & more:P
I forgot where I heard this from, but I think that Thinkway Toys is also going to release a Zurg Collection figure. I think that would be really awesome to have a toy with Andrew Stanton’s voice.
yah and it would go great with the toy story collection buzz lightyear
Thinkway is sending me a TSC Lightyear this week right from their Headquarters. I really got tired of the crappy quality control after my most recent one had a piece of his wing snap off on deployment. They are beautiful toys, and I would KILL to have a full size Zurg. It would be even better if he fired tiny nerf balls!
I just picked this up at Toys R Us. I had no idea this was out. This is by far the best Bo Peep I have ever found it is the most movie acccurate Bo, she has swivel legs that go all the way up the dress which has three layors of ruffles. The cane is removable and her arms waist and neck are moveable. Shes shinny just like porcelin. She stands great to!!
was it a TSC bo peep. How much did it cost
These toys look amazing, especially the Buzz one. Not sure if I want them unless they are the most movie accurate things out there.
Its not, its nowhere near the proper scale, and no COA.
No offense or anything, but the Bo Peep they released back in like '96 was definitely more accurate. Maybe you’re not familiar with it, but my sister had it and it was pretty close, still not the right size but looks-wise I think it was almost spot on.
Finally found the Bucket O Soldiers with the Certificate. They really are MUCH more movie accurate than the non-certificate bucket. Now I just have to hope that my parents and sisters came through with the Buzz and RC and I’ll have the whole Toy Story Collection as far as what’s been released right now.
Well we’ve seen a Jessie and a Potato head so we know those are coming. Hamm has also been rumored. On top of those I’d love to see Prospector, Zurg, Rocky, Slinky, and Bullseye. The Woody’s roundup gang would display so nicely together.
The Jessie isn’t in the Toy Story Collection but it is Thinkway Toys.
I just recieved the replacement sent to me by Thinkway Toys. It confirms my beliefe that they have somewhat fixed the quality control issues with the initial release line. Although, the joint in his waist is loose, the paint job is far more uniform. Sadly, he doesnt glow as bright as the original one (I got to keep both bad boys), but that might be due to his never seening light.
Wish I had kept my receipts…
Im surprised they didn’t ask you to give up your old one.
Yeah I was surprised when they didn’t ask for the original back. They said this was the first time somone called diectly about the quaility of the line. Do yourself a favor and say something. They are too expensive NOT to.
Well, after reading the above posts about calling Thinkway about the quality, I called to ask them what they could do about Buzz’s scratched helmet. They were very helpful and are sending a replacement helmet piece.
does any one recommend the collection Rex figure?
I’m glad that Thinkway Toys send replacements without a problem. It’s good that some companies actually care about their customer’s satisfaction.
