Thinkway's Toy Story Collection

And you’ve done this before? How long did it take?

I have a question, i’m thinking about getting the TSC Woody and i want to know how do you turn his mic off in play mode without having to take out his back. Thanks.

Pulling his pull string turns his mic on and off. So, if it’s on, you pull it to turn it off. Then, after you pull it again, it turns back on.

Not in a rough way or anything. I mean she’s nearly 7 now. She has been taking her everywhere admittedly but the hair is not very robust at all, it has also got quite fuzzy too. Some of the hair has come loose today. I know what you’re saying about them not being out and out toys but like I said, the hair on the old Jessie was seriously much better, she’s been flung around the place over the years and her hair is in much better condition. You’re right I probably should have got her the cheaper one and bought the deluxe one for myself

Oh,ok thanks. So other than the Demo/Try me mode there is no other way to pull his string to hear his phrases with his mic off.

yeah i have the same problem! is there a way?
I find the mic really annoying. :unamused:

also are you supposed to change the batteries on woody, jessie and bullseye?
And do you guys leave them on off or a different mode?

On the Novus polishing, should take no more than 5 minutes with #3 then 5 minutes with #2 and a quick wipe cleaning with # 1.

5 minutes non-stop polishing right? What does it do? Does it fill in the deep scratches or does it go away like magic?[/b]

Novus is like a liquid sandpaper. It smooths out the area b literally sanding down the surface but delicately. Which is why you use a soft cloth and do not press hard when you use it. The three grades are the grit of the liquid, the # 3 the heaviest and why you have to use # 2 and hen # 1 afterwords.
For small or really delicate areas, I have used a Qtip with the liquid to rub out scratches. Also be aware that you must use different clothes with each liquid so as to noy contaminate the different grades when working on the scratches.

Hi guys, I was on eBay (uk) looking for an animal lovin ken but couldn’t find any. I was just looking at some normal ken dolls and most of them looked quite like the one in toy story. I don’t want to get the made for each other one as I don’t think it looks anything like ken. If anyone has a cheap animal lovin ken outfit for the uk can they email me on chilletoes@hotmail.co.uk and we can go from there.

Does anyone agree with me that the tsc jessie isn’t that accurate, I had the choice to get jessie or bullseye but I chose bullseye because I thought he looked more accurate. I ended up buying a jessie out the disney store which looked much better than the collection one. I really hope that the Disney store Hamm comes to the uk as I really want him, if anyone knows when they are coming can you give me a private message.

Many thanks, callum.

Does anyone know how well TSC RC works? And are TSC Buzz And Woody able to ride on it?

Yeah, I’m actually pretty disappointed. I’m not out to collect the whole set or anything, but Jessie is awesome and I’d consider getting her as a buddy for Woody if she looked as much like her movie self as he does. For me it’s something about the mouth. This sounds really nitpicky, but the doll has this generic kind of delicate Barbie-doll mouth, but the real Jessie has a kind of thicker/wider/more prominent upper lip. It’s hard to describe but it’s a fine detail that gives her face a lot of that “loud, outsize” personality. Just that being off in the doll throws her whole face off for me. I don’t know how her face can be off when they used the actual digital model as a basis, but there it is. Plus her legs/chaps don’t look right.

I mean, not to be “that person,” but . . . yeah.

Prior to this, I thought Thinkway was pretty good with accurate materials, but the reason I’m holding off on Jessie for now is because I don’t believe her shirt and chaps are accurate (shouldn’t they just carry over the same materials from Woody?). It makes a nice doll, but just not accurate enough in my opinion.

BTW, is the hat felt in the TSC version, because after seeing Toy Story 3 again, I’m convinced that’s what it’s made of.

For me it was her hair. I don’t think that the hair looks anything like jessies hair in the movie. If you look at her hair, she has two bumps in the front, but in the tsc her hair is flat at the top. Also I think that the colour of her hair is inaccurate.

Alright guys I’m not sure what to do. I really want my own authentic Buzz and Woody. I’m obviously getting the Buzz from the Toy Story collection. However, I’m not sure which Woody to get.

I like the woody from the TSC. However, the talking playtime woody to me looks exactly like the TSC one, but is $!5 cheaper. Are there any advantages the TSC one has over the playtime one, other then the voice mode, stand, box, and certificate, which I dont care about?

Hello Srs
I own both the TSC and playtime woody heres what i think
TSC Woody
Pros Looks like woody,
Cons Won’t shut up Rips and tears easily

Playtime woody
Pros Very Durible
Cons Vest tears

I think you should buy playtime woody Because he’s looks and feels a whole lot better than TSC woody

Didn’t you just contradict yourself by saying that the Playtime Woody is very durable, and yet his vest tears?

I’d say to buy the TSC Woody, his hat, boots and holster look much better than Playtime Woody’s, TSC Woody’s hair has the accurate streaks, and as a whole Playtime Woody feels like it’s more cheaply-made than the TSC Woody.

Is there a way to make TSC Buzz and Woody say what they say in toy mode only? Like Woody doesn’t talk when you talk, and says his toy quotes from the movie when the string is puller?

Regarding the Playtime Woody thing, I remember a while back, someone complained that their Playtime Woody lost his head during a playtime with a child, along with the ghastly pics to prove it.

Personally, my Toy Story Collection Woody has held up just fine. Though, his arms are stitched at a weird angle, so that’s probably where the ripping occurs.
