Bullseye. looks. AMAZING! I am so excited about him, in all his glory! and Jessie looks pretty spiffy too! No sign of Hamm (or Prospector/Zurg-though I doubted they’d be released)
Will there be any more additions to the series? or is this the final lineup?
Still no (recent) sign of Potatohead being able to be pressed down all the way…can anyone read all the info on the back? I cant make it out, even on the highest res versions. I wish I could just ask one of the kids to see for me. I feel like yelling at them through the screen “press him down! tell me what happens!”
Jessie looks the same as she did in the original pic we got, sans awful lighting and camera. but I need a better look at it.
If this is all that will be at the toy fair, its kinda disappointing.
But Bullseye is looking great as usual. I really have zero complaints with him so far. except maybe his neck being understuffed, but thats a pretty petty complaint, even for me.
I’d stil like to know what utility belt buzz has thats different. I see they tried to make the toy story logo clash a bit less than the original version. they still had to put it there, but at least the colors blend in a bit more. still not sold on buying him though.
So far if I end up excluding any of them from my collection it’ll be Utilitybelt Buzz and lotso. but like I said before, if those were the only two left, I probably wouldnt let them stop me from completing my collection. It woudl take about 2 more additions I didnt care for to simply stop aiming for a complete collection.
is anyone else kind of dissapointed with the final potatohead. idk i think they couldve done much better. also does anyone know if the the utility belt buzz has any different feautures than the original. its kind of waste to go out and buy it. also can someone give me feedback on rex’s color. it just looks a little light to me but what do i know.
the rest of the collection looks pretty far out. im definetly getting them all.
also i see that theyre prodcing new slinky dogs. (possibly TSC becasue thatd be awesome.) it doesnt really give you a clear shot of the box so who knows. i just hope they make one. i mean the one in the picture is pretty right on so why not just modify a few things to make it legit?
But we already know they’ve re released the older inaccurate one, if that’s the one you saw. As far as we know no TSC one is planned.
Edit: oh, right I see it now. yeah, pretty sure that’s not TSC, just the released one. You can see the string coming from his forehead.
as for your question about colors, its a question I don’t think has a definitive answer. its one thing to have in inaccurate hue, but differences in brightness are hard to know for sure, because that’s all depending on how the scenes in the movies and whatever rooms the real life versions are in are lit.
I guess he could stand to be a bit darker, but sometimes Im not so sure. it hasn’t bothered me so far. but then again Ive yet to see it in person.
Also, anyone else find it awesome that their making the mini woody guitar as seen in Toy Story 2? it looks spot on too.
I also see the board game Operation. but its not the same box design seen in the movies. I’m not sure its technically even toy story related, but I cant get a good look at the front of the box.
Wow! The collection looks amazing!!! Some questions. Do we know what(if any) buzz’s new features will be? Can Lotso stand without a stand? And finally, in the films, prospector doesnt have his picture on the front of his box like the others have. If he is made, do you think they wll stay true to that, or continue the box design they created?
I know this is an old post, but WOW. Your Toy Story Collection Lotso looks much more authentic than the off pink Lotso prototype! I certainly hope they decide to change the color in this fashion for the actual toy, that’s my only complaint with the current one.
Also, will he be strawberry scented? I’m not a huge fan on smelling toys but somehow this sounds interesting. Perhaps I’ll pick one up for my nephew.
as for the prospector’s box, sadly I think if they do one they’ll add the picture of him on it to keep things consistent. hopefully not though.
I don’t mind it on the others, mainly because the drawings ooze charm, and we havent seen the actual boxes that I know of to claim their inaccurate. But we know what kind of changes they’ve done to the Buzz boxes, so their not afraid of the boxes differing from the on screen designs.
Another change Im half expecting is that rope frame. Notice how the rope and plastic window continue to the top like that on the 3 we’ve seen, but the prospector’s doesnt in the movie? I bet they’ll change his to be like the rest of them. presumably to allow people in stores to get a decent view the toy even from higher angles.
I wonder if the new Lotso toy is going to end up being another Tickle Me Elmo toy. By the description of being an interactive bear that responds to hugs and tickles, it seems like its going to be very similar. Not that I mind really, but compared to the Toy Story Collection Buzz, Woody and R/C, Lotso will probably be geared towards the “under 10” demographic.
