Thinkway's Toy Story Collection

How did you find someone who could get it to you by monday? Mines not even being shipped until tomorrow lol since thats when people are getting home from the expo. I also bought the small fry buzz pin and am buying the mr pricklepants from hawaiian vacation pin

My Small Fry Buzz turned up unexpectedly today! I didn’t anticipate him arriving until the middle of the week sometime! Anyhow, I’ve posted some thoughts and a bunch of pictures of him over in the Replicas thread:

Mine was shipped on Friday from LA and I live in Northern CA so it got here today. Just unboxed it and it’s pretty awesome. The box was smaller than I thought, but it’s actually the right size. The “happy meal” box is the same size as a normal McD’s box. Buzz is spot on. Not sure if he has wheels on his feet because I don’t plan on opening him up. I’ve officially run out of space!

If anyone still needs TSC Mr. Pricklepants, he is currently showing up at Toys R Us and is available on their website for in-store pickup. Just managed to get the last one at my local TRU. No idea if Dolly and Buttercup will also be showing up soon or not.

looking to buy a tsc mr potato head. anyone on the forum selling?

I for one think this line is grossly overrated. Mr. Potato Head is ruined by the electronics. Woody and Jessie… the Furby mode doesn’t add anything, and the boxes don’t add much. Jessie’s speaker is in a stupid place, and Woody doesn’t have all his pull-string sayings. RC’s front wheels don’t really steer and the real steering mechanism is pathetic, and he’s missing the TURBO setting. Buzz and Bullseye are the only worthwhile ones and Bullseye’s only worthwhile because he’s the ONLY large Bullseye doll produced.

I agree with you in the sense that there was more of an emphasis on it being a toy rather than a replica. Had they focused more of their efforts on creating exactly what was done in the movie, the product would be immaculate (while still being marketable as a toy).

Regardless, it’s still the best we’ve gotten so far, the materials and general likeness was a huge improvement over previous products. I also thought the boxes were very nice. They couldn’t be exact replicas due to regulations, but the effort was still there.

The Toy Story Collection really rekindled interest in the Toy Story toy line in hype before Toy Story 3. Sadly, Wave 2 was a little underwhelming, and Wave 3 flew completely under the radar. The line didn’t reach its full potential after the powerhouse of Wave 1. The underestimated the popularity of the more minor characters in the series (as apparent through fan interest). Oh well, I hope they continue to make improvements in the future.

One does not simply “outgrow Toy Story.”

I completely second that. What on earth happened to the toystory21 we know??

Mr.Prickle Pants is the newest addition to my collection. I was able to get him for 30% off because Toys R Us had a coupon. He was really cheap and it’s a really cute toy.

He’s probably about 12 or 13, a lot of boys around that age start to feel like they need to be seen as older than they were a at 11, so they overcompensate and convince themselves they’ve outgrown something. Its part of why I stopped watching power rangers at first. But here I am at 25 and I’m watching again. Eventually he’ll probably outgrow “outgrowing” things and just accept his hobbies.

No, Dinoco, it wasn’t really an emphasis on making them toys… It was an emphasis on making them expensive. Why else would you put electronics in Mr. Potato Head?! It makes him a poorer toy because it doesn’t belong. He has less Mr. Potato Head functionality than an ordinary, cheaper, Hasbro one. And RC’s front wheels not steering is just bad design.

Kyle: That would explain it if that’s the case. I myself never went through that phase… it seems to foreign to me… :~o
ZTS: I personally think the animatronic Potato Head was made the way it was to be different from ordinary Potato Heads, so that way people who aren’t as Toy Story-savvy could tell the basic Mr. P from the Toy Story Mr. P. I’m not a huge fan of the animatronic feature myself, but he’s so accurate, I’m not sure I really care… I’ll just pluck out the batteries and enjoy him as he is!

From the conversations i had with him, he was at least 18 if not older. I remember we were around the same age and Im 19

They didn’t end up releasing the basic Mr. Potato Head (an accurate model, but with no electronics). They figured he just wouldn’t sell well. Adding more features is what they figure sells more.

I opened my Lotso and Jessie from their boxes today and I seem to be missing my Lotso COA, which is strange.
Does anyone know where it is meant to be located within the box?

if there isa piece of cardboard that will come otu he was on, then it could be there.

Thanks for your reply.
After another look I found the COA in seconds!
I was so excited to open Lotso that I completely missed the COA, which was clearly located under the cardboard piece that Lotso came out of

glad i can help
