I can honestly say Jessie is not one im all that interested in. Bullseye and Lotso are my next buys for sure. Then Rex, then Jessie, then RC.

Dang it, I realized I had that on mine, as well… now whenever I look at him my attention draws to that. And I can’t send him in, I wrote Andy on his boot in Sharpie. 
My guess would be right around 49.99 like the rest of the guys in the Collection so far.
i know that this has nothing to do with this topic, but i found this real interesting. that tariler that was shown a few pages back was awesome. I liked how it showed glimpses of bo, wheezy, rc, robot, etc. but i looked back on some previous trailers and realized all the scenes theyre in on the new one, theyre not in on the old ones (andy watching the movie, measuring woody, playin outside with buzz, and pressing buzz’s button). It looks like they mightve been recently added in or something. but whatever i just thought it to be strange
Jake, that was from the Japanese trailer release earlier this week. International trailers tend to have different things to show the fans.
Kyle, on your Woody, mine has the same paint overlay. I checked the movie, and the actual toy has it too, so it could’ve been deliberate.
It may not look as “bad” on film, but you can see that Thinkway did the paint on the eyes on purpose. I have seen the paint being very consistant with that overspray in that area.
Nah, there’s no way it was deliberate. and that screen shot doesn’t even have it, what your seeing is his actual eyelid, and even that is smaller than the over spray.
Ive looked at plenty of them in stores, while some do have it, this is clearly a quality control issue. a lot of them are about as close to perfect as you can get.
this isn’t even over spray as much as it is a miss aligned. the eye on the right isn’t the only thing off, the left is missing paint from the top, indicating that the whole machine or whatever they use was crooked.
This cant even happen in the movies because the eyes don’t get painted, their separate objects in 3d space. only the iris and pupil texture would be like paint
As for the trailer thing, I want to save that stuff for the trailer thread, but I’ll just say this real quick: ;this is not a case of differences from the US and international trailers, they might show different shots from trailer to trailer, but this was clearly a more recent version of the same shots we already saw, not different ones altogether. the ones we got initially were still works in progress, we are now seeing the finale completed shots.
Thats him in his toy form. Look at all toy form pics, and he has that overspray. A plastic toy doesnt have inverted eyelids. Mine was a bit like yours, but I took it down a bit with some paint thinner, but still left an overspray as that is accurate in my opinion.
Regardless, I’m guessing they were ok with you sending it back in? I would be scared I got one worse, or with a defect. Afterall, they’re massproduced. Not individually hand made. If they were, they wouldnt be $50, more like $500.

(I realise this technically isn’t him in toy mode, but 1, it has the same exact eye lid slither as your pic, and 2, these toys dont exactly try to replicate their toy modes in the first place. its not as if he suddenly has overspray when he’s a toy, and it goes away when he moves around)

But anyway, yes, I sent them that pic, and they told me it was fine to send it back for a replacement.
And yeah, I am worried my new one could be worse, but I was kinda under the impression they would be able to hand pick me a new one, unless they ship direct from their china factories to retail, which I doubt. they have to go to Thinkway first right? or at the very least they must have an assortment to pick from at their offices.
But I took the risk, as I cant look at him without seeing this flaw anymore. some might need 5X magnification before they’ll notice, while I can see it across the room.
for retail, they will go straight to either a warehouse to ship from, or straight to the stores. But like you said, they will most likely have a ton in their offices they can choose and send you one.
That is very kind of them. I’ve never once heard a bad thing about Thinkway. Very cool.
Awesome! I just called another different ToysRUs in California (San Jose) and they do have the TSC Mr Potato Head in stock! Too bad I’m still in BC.
BTW, for all you Canadians out there, just contacted my local Vancouver ToysRUs and they are expecting a massive shipment of Toy Story 3 toys on May 1st including the TSC Potato Head and Lotso!
awesome news, anyway just got back from disney store they didn’t have hamm but they had a very cool buzz lightyear with wings that light (Kind’ve off scale though) and karate chop action in the same buzz…the buzz him self has pretty much on scale i would’ve bought him but i had spent my money on looney tunes :S

anway, I finally got Mr P opened up, all thats left is to shorten the legs. think Im going to use a dremmel to remove them, but how much should I cut? I want to try and make sure the electronics stay intact, will cuting it too short prevent the body from swaying?

MOC is a term used usually for action figures, it means Mint On Card.
