9

So, as of a few days ago, we received a new trailer, AND IT IS AMAZING. :open_mouth:  This film is FAR exceeding my expectations.

Holy guacamole! :open_mouth: This is like what Terminator Salvation shouldā€™ve been, and itā€™s an animated film!
Looks like the French get the nice trailer! Cool as! Thanks, Haystack!

Now I really canā€™t wait for this one.

Dang alive. Iā€™ll be counting down the minutes until this thing is releasedā€¦

Thanks for the link, sayurkangkung!

SWEET! Uh, does anyone have the English version?
EDIT: I like 5; he looks so sweet, too bad of whatā€™s to come.

New poster, 9 fans! This is so totally wicked awesome, I like how 9 has his back to us and heā€™s looking over his shoulder surreptitiously. And that wasteland of the apocalypse lying ahead of him, itā€™s just so grim and depressing! Very, very atmospheric! I absolutely love it!

Thanks to Rare Addict of the WALL-E forums!

Um, thatā€™s not very new. But itā€™s still cool!

This looks pretty interesting, kinda dark, but quirky at the same time. Something makes me think that itā€™s gonna do really well (at least in terms of story and design at least, not sure about the box office).

Wow, they sure spent lots of bucks for this movie.

Not really. The budget was only $33 million, or so Iā€™ve heard.

As of yesterday, there is only ONE MONTH LEFT. :open_mouth:  I am so unbelievably excited!

I hadnā€™t bothered having a look at release dates until today, perhaps guessing (and hoping) that because of the whole 9/9/09 thing, itā€™d be a worldwide release date, but I guess not. Weā€™re getting it on the 30th of October, so just before Halloween which seems quite appropriate. Definitely desperate to see this, though. Going on IMDb and seeing a trivia thing saying that itā€™s the first computer animated film to get a PG-13 rating makes it seem all the more appealing.

Iā€™m not sure this is even gonna get an Oz/Singapore/Malaysia release, as thereā€™s next-to-0 marketing on this film. Oh, well, itā€™s still relatively early, only one more month to goā€¦

About a month ago when I saw Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince at midnight with some buddies, they showed the first trailer.

The song in the trailer:
Welcome Home - Coheed and Cambira

A famous rock song; me and my friends were headbanging through the whole thing.

lizardgirl - 9 isnā€™t the first PG-13 rated computer animated film. Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within was rated PG-13 and it came out in 2001.

Here is the original short film in case anyone hasnā€™t seen it:

This movie is going to be amazing, butā€¦how are they going to defeat those giant machines if they are so small?

NEW CLIP!

Itā€™s in French, but it is SO worth it. My love for this film has tripled and quadrupled in size, like springtime daisies, and I am now behind it 100% and then some.

Justā€¦my GOSH, the ANIMATION! :open_mouth: The CHARACTER INTERACTION! The MUSIC!

Shane Acker, you are a genius.

I apologise for double posting, but THIS JUST IN:

Due to the fact that 9 came out in France early, the reviews have been coming in.

IMDB: 8.1

Rotten Tomatoes: 83% on the RottenTomatometer.

Ok, the music just sold the film for me. This is a definite must see. BTW; the song is ā€œWelcome Homeā€ by Coheed and Cambria.

Personally, the character design in the original animation is better to me.
