So, as of a few days ago, we received a new trailer, AND IT IS AMAZING. This film is FAR exceeding my expectations.

Holy guacamole! This is like what Terminator Salvation should’ve been, and it’s an animated film!

New poster, 9 fans! This is so totally wicked awesome, I like how 9 has his back to us and he’s looking over his shoulder surreptitiously. And that wasteland of the apocalypse lying ahead of him, it’s just so grim and depressing! Very, very atmospheric! I absolutely love it!

This looks pretty interesting, kinda dark, but quirky at the same time. Something makes me think that it’s gonna do really well (at least in terms of story and design at least, not sure about the box office).

Not really. The budget was only $33 million, or so I’ve heard.

As of yesterday, there is only ONE MONTH LEFT. I am so unbelievably excited!

I hadn’t bothered having a look at release dates until today, perhaps guessing (and hoping) that because of the whole 9/9/09 thing, it’d be a worldwide release date, but I guess not. We’re getting it on the 30th of October, so just before Halloween which seems quite appropriate. Definitely desperate to see this, though. Going on IMDb and seeing a trivia thing saying that it’s the first computer animated film to get a PG-13 rating makes it seem all the more appealing.

I’m not sure this is even gonna get an Oz/Singapore/Malaysia release, as there’s next-to-0 marketing on this film. Oh, well, it’s still relatively early, only one more month to go…

About a month ago when I saw Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince at midnight with some buddies, they showed the first trailer.

lizardgirl - 9 isn’t the first PG-13 rated computer animated film. Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within was rated PG-13 and it came out in 2001.

NEW CLIP!

It’s in French, but it is SO worth it. My love for this film has tripled and quadrupled in size, like springtime daisies, and I am now behind it 100% and then some.
