Toy Story Replicas (No trading-related posts please)

Oh, ok. That’s what I thought too.

With regards to the Mattel Jessie I went to my tru and took these pics.

think that head sculpt is fantastic

It’s not the best pic for scale but they only had Buzz. If you guys think she is in scale I may go get her this week.

Next to the Robot, in the first screencap I posted two posts up, it looks like the “rex style” raptor! I’ll try and see if I can get any more pics. He has the same looking rex/trixie head and eyes, and similar body proportions.

WHOA! How much is that JEssie? IS that the $15 one? IF so, I’m getting it! I think it looks BETTER than the TSC one! And without that RIDICULOUS PRICE TAG FOR A PIECE OF PAPER!

It’s a Europe only release. It’s £30.

Whats the official name of it? I want to see if I can track it down here in the US

Her hail line is a bit tooo far back
but im getting it
Im glad i live in the uk when it comes to Toy Story for one

I don’t think the hair line is really too far back, it’s just an artifact of the pics. I think she looks FANTASTIC. Thanks for the great pics, theclaw!

Do you think she is the right scale? she looks good to me. If the scale is right I would buy her along with the tsc jessie. I would swap the hat and give the tsc version to my son.

if she had the smile when absent In toy story she would be great

Taking a long hard look at the Jessie above and the tsc version, the latter wins hands down. The details on the tsc version can’t be doubted. The clothes are spot on. The clothes on the Jessie above are a fair bit off. It’s a real shame as the mattel version has, I think, a superior head sculpt.

Based on your photo with Buzz, she looks almost perfectly in scale. I just held my non-TSC Thinkway version next to Buzz, and the proportions looked the same. BTW, did you get the PM I sent you?

It is hard to tell from the photos, but what are the problems you noticed with the clothes?

The clothes do seem more accurate in the TSC version. just look at the way the seems go up the shirt. that doesnt look righ tat all to me.

The pattern on the shirt is different for a start and the collar is to large on the Mattel. The chaps dont have the right look. They should have a black leather edge like the tsc version. The hat has a painted thread, the tsc has real thread. The head sculpt is better than the tsc but not the actual yarn. The tsc yarn is far superior. The tsc version doe’s look better as an overall figure for detail.I think the mattel is slightly thinner in the body. For my money though, the mattel has the head sculpt in the bag.

but the toy story collection jessie in the box looks far more accurate but when she has the hat on she looks way off scare cos they put on the hat on weird

for example on how she looks better toy story collection style

Kinda random but thought I’d post my finds today. nothing we havnt already seen, but what the hey.

The chatter phone is much smaller than the one I remember as a little kid, were different sizes made or is it just one of those things where we remember things being bigger than they were because we were so little?

I see the gitar in fact does have a toy story logo on it’s packaging, but its still very much out of the way.

I wonder if there will be more woody s roundup merchandise like this and the harmonica
MMMMMMM. cereal
cowboy crunches

I don’t like that chatter phone at all. It (obviously) isn’t meant as a replica, but it isn’t even remotely accurate in details that could have been. I picked up the “real” version in the retro packaging, and I also picked up a REAL 60’s version on eBay that is extremely close to the film version in terms of the amount of distressing apparent on it. That’s all I will need.

As for the guitar, I’m not sure what you are talking about. There is no Toy Story logo visible on mine anywhere. It does have the Disney/Pixar copyright on the back, but that is pretty much expected/required for legal reasons.

you can see it in the picture there, on all the ones behind the one in front. a toy story logo with a giant 3 on it.
