Toy Story Replicas (No trading-related posts please)

NO!!! I like to think of myself as the little old man in TS2. I took these toys and transformed them into beloved characters that we all know and love. I made them better…at least that’s how I sleep at night.

Haha is name is Gerald, and outstanding work as always!!!

Ah very cool! I am thinking of making Jingle Joe too. He was always my favorite mutant toy. I was going to but Bonus Belt Buzz, and the day I walked into the Walmart that had him, he was gone. The troubles of vacationing in a small town for 2 months lol

wampar, you deserve something free from pixar. amazing

I’m just curious, why did did you think for a second that the utility belt Buzz would have any more articulation than the standard Buzz?

Ummm…I didn’t think that there would be any difference. I just hadn’t tried to pose my original one that way previously.

great work as always wamper…do you plan on ever making the toy chest?
also one more thing…i hope you don’t mind me asking this, but could you post the label for jingle joe? I’ve been planing on making one for myself for the past 2 weeks, but haven’t got the toys r us jingle Joe just yet. and it would will save me the trouble for taking it off.

Yeah I’d really like that too!Im not a customizer by any means, but i may tackle Jingle Joe

Ahh.

oh, and I didn’t mention it yet, since so many others have, but well done on new customs. They might not be replicas, but still cool in their own right.

No toy chest. It would be too big. I probably wouldn’t have done Sid’s toys because of space issues, except I figured the perfect way to display them when I am able to. As I have said many times before: the Simpsons stuff is getting the boot and there will be a new shelving unit exclusively for the TS stuff to get it off of the floor and open back up this room for foot traffic. Sid’s toys will be lined up along the top of that unit sort of looming over everyone else.

I will post the Jingle Joe sticker tonight after work. Though again I state: it got roughed up a lot, so it might take some work to make it useable.

What sarch did you use on ebay for jingle joes head? And also, what pieces were used to construct duckie?

i found this on ebay (if your interested):
cgi.ebay.com/GI-JOE-VINTAGE-LOT- … ltDomain_0
looks pretty close to jingle joe out of the heads i saw on ebay…i might bid on it, but proably will look around more.

I have had him for a while now. I think I searched for GI Joe 12’ figures, and randomly found a guy selling custom heads he had made.

Ducky was a little tricky at first. I actually bought from amazon a jumping suction cup toy, but when it got here it was WAY too small. So I used a thin dowel rod, and a wooden disc from the craft store, screwed them together and painted them green. Then I took a bit of wire and faked a worn out spring on the dowel rod. The suction cup came from Michael’s. The body was a small generic baby doll that I cut up. The pez dispenser was Mickey Mouse originally. I cut it in half because he was initially way too tall, and sculpted the Ducky heard with sculpey.

With modifying, that could be very close to the final product. Since Combat Carl was based off G.I. Joe, this is just about as close as you will get (there was another one with correct hair, but this is close enough). With just a little paint, I think it’ll look great.

I actually found one of those push toys that Jingle Joe is made of. Made of tin, where you push it and it Jingles. Found it at a Goodwill store for 1.99, and I was so pissed that I didn’t have any money on me.

I’m kinda surprised that you didn’t use one of those, Wampar. But then again, it speaks to your work when I say I thought you used one, when you actually made a tube and parts look like it. I really, really want a Hand-In-The-Box… GREAT idea to use a slinky, it looks fantastic.

The Melody Push Chime, a classic Fisher Price toy.

Actually, it’s not the exact thing. Pixar made some changes to it, I’m guessing to not affiliate Sid’s toys with any real-life toys due to complaints from Hasbro. The yellow rollers are on the inside on Jingle Joe, and the red part is modified a bit. Plus, the design, to my knowledge, was never on a real toy.

i saw that when you orginaly posted that, i have been searching for more, and i might buy this:
amazon.com/Fisher-Price-Todd … B00000IZOX

its cheep and seems pretty easy to mod for jingle joe…as for wheels, i will probaly do what wamper did…and i guess ill look around for some handles…

The cylinder part on that looks pretty good, I guess the handle is what would have to be made from scratch, though.

As for nitpicking, the red part would have to be made thinner and have vertical indents in it, as well as being painted yellow.

Can anyone tell me if this RC is to scale? I know it doesnt operate like a remote control card should but £65 for the TSC is too much to spend for a toy I wouldn’t use

Yeah, for Jingle Joe I did search for a push chime, and found several of them in various stores…Kmart seems to keep them in stock…but the real push chime is much larger than Sid’s would have been, and as someone stated above, PIXAR made thier own version, and I wanted to have it feel more like the movie instead of using something real that would potentially change the entire feel of the character.

What RC? If you posted a link or picture or something it’s not showing up on my computer.
