Right. I mean, we’ve gone through this before, but the scale of practically every character changes from time to time based on the needs of the shot. They made Andy’s desk the size of a football field during the confrontation with Woody, but that doesn’t make it canon or whatever. They have an ideal size for everyone but no size is set in stone, which is why I think we should stick with whatever they intended…
At this point Im starting to think the people who sent that release out simply didn’t know this item was already on shelves. Maybe there’s a lack of communication or caring between the manufacturer and the marketing staff of Hasbro, but if we were going to get a new one in the fall by now we’d have seen it. I’d say anyone holding out might as well go with the TSC one, its all your going to get. (if it turns out Im wrong, don’t kill me, heh)
You might be right…hopefully not though I would really expect them to have known about them already being on shelves though… An yes, the TSC Mr. Potato Head is the most accurate version of the spud from the movie out right now…even if he does have no back compartment, conjoined eyes, lots of screws etc. There is no best bet for Mrs. Potato Head though! The one of her out right now is terrible…hopefully they’ll make her in wave 3…
I’d have to aggree. If it was really slated for a Fall release, we would have at least heard something by now. About bad communication between Hasbro sections, it is completly possible. So is Hasbro putting an old Toy in a new Box and calling it new. But anyone on the fence, if you can find a Potato Head cheap, i’d say go for him. He’s really not a bad toy at all. Granted he’s got the electronics and all but if you are going to have him on display he looks great.
Yesterday I finally spray painted my barrel of monkeys yellow, i have to say I’m happy with it:
then today i went to the dollar store and found the same exact squeaker the little green men have. which i have put in today :
and a few weeks ago i found a 95’ think way buzz for $4 at goodwill…not a bad deal…but one of his wing part broke…anyone have a idea in what to use? I’ve tried rubber cement and pvc glue, but no luck =/
The TS3 Slink is the same one-and-only Slink out there, the only different one is the “Retro” with the bigger pupils. So Yes, it’s the best slink you can get.
Can’t help with Etch, i’d probably tell you wrong, but the “Classic” Etch seems a bit smaller, at 9" across. But your milage may very.
There IS only one size barrel, but it is now Red, like the monkeys. But fortunatly Cleanmonk has shown that it CAN be painted and look nice Yellow.
yeah, i only did one coat…and i kinda rushed doing it since the weather was windy the day i did it. i do plan to do one more coat when the weather clears up and is less windy…but for now, i really dont mind the red showing.
