I believe the toy story version is too small.
thanks guys. so ill most likely have to ebay it or something right
Second-hand stores won’t be too much of a longshot, either. There used to be dozens at a thrift store near me at one point. However, they still sell the non-Toy Story Etch, which may be a little bit closer.
Also, has anyone found the Tinkertoy can? I know I used to have it (or something very similar as a kid). It must’ve been a mid-90’s toy for younger kids, since the pieces were big and plastic.
aweome. ill be sure to check out the few thrift shops around me
THANKS Pixar Builder! I might try to hop on that deal. its a score if i get it
Yeah, the old ones are pretty cool. My dad used to have one until he decided to make thermite from it.
Even though it’s non-canon, my favorite Etch A Sketch style is the failed Color version. It used markers and you got to keep a copy of the artwork.
Does anyone know if the Zurg room alarm thing, besides the base is to scale?
I’m wondering because he’s the closest Zurg I can find and I want a Zurg in my collection.
Here’s a link to one on eBay:

11 inches is too small, he should be about 15’ if I remember our discussions about it. The TS2 figure is 12 inches I think, you’d be better off with that one anyway.
Thanks Kyle, I’ll try and keep an eye out for that one
Which TS2 Zurg is 12"? I have never seen one taller than 8 inches, except for the wildly redesigned one that is designed from the TV cartoon.
Newest batch of toys. I am VERY close to being done. I have only two major characters left: Trixie and Chuckles. Then I do plan to make 6 or 7 background toys from Sunnyside. And I have made the bikinis for 7 Barbie dolls, I am just waiting for the pool I finally decided on to get here, hopefully by the end of the week. But with this update I am officially 100% done with everything I intend to do for TS1, and as soon as the Barbie pool gets here I will completely done with TS2 as well.
Here we go:
Stretch. Made with Polymer clay with a ghetto armature to start with (thanks for the suggestion Kyle), then sprayed with purple spray paint and silver spray glitter before the paint was dry, so they would mix a little before drying. Then painted the face on with craft paint. I did make a first version that was TERRIBLE…and I ultimately couldn’t keep it in collection, so I started over from scratch and am SO glad I did.

Bookworm. I wanted to make sure he had a working flashlight, so while there has been a little controversy over his scale, especially since he is never shown with any another character in frame, I decided to get the smallest working flashlight I could find, and scale him to that. It makes him a little too big, but I think just a little. I am pretty sure if we put the Buzz manual next to him he would be fairly close to the right size.

Lotso’s Gang Group shot…now complete!

Dolly. hand sewn. At first her eyes were too large, and they had to be glued on. After a couple of days I thought they made her look too off, so I decided to replace them. Sadly after I pried off the original eyes there was glue residue left over, and the new eyes are smaller than the glue areas. So, there is a little bit of glue around her eyes…but I am so happy with her otherwise.

Bonnie’s toys. Just need Trixie and Chuckles.

Sid’s Pterodactyl is a talking figure from the tv show Dinosaur Train, which I spray painted with various colors I had sitting around from other projects. I ended up really happy with him.

The Alien I stepped on in gravel, rubbed on rough rock, spray painted, and created puncture marks with a hammer and nails.

And Sid’s toys are complete.

And the newest group shot.
Wow wampar, I Especially love Bookworm & Pterodactyl
Really good job. ![]()
Whoops, your right, the one I was refereing to is only 8 or 9 inches.
@wampar
JEALOUSYYYYYYY
I want that collection…
Haha, getting past that, great job. I love Stretch in particular. Do you think you’ll do a video tour once you’re “all done”?
Also, what toys from Sunnyside do you plan on doing? I’d guess the Jack-in-Box and the elephant plush as two. Maybe some LEGO people.
And do you plan on getting the Rock-a-Stack that was in Molly’s room? How about the Barbie corvette or the racecar track? But I know this is your collection, time, money, and effort, so you should decide what to do. Just suggesting, heh.
Hey wampar,
how much money do you think youv spent on ur collection so far?
I predicting $1000+
Definitely on my radar are The Jack in the Box, the Elephant (though he is questionable), the Lego people, the flower with the large round face, the wooden little people including the dog, the Blue Kitty, The penguin that flaps its arms, the Claw that the Aliens stand beneath, the fast food people, and maybe one of the dinosaurs if the Dinosaur Train versions match well enough for me.
I have no idea. The thing is that a lot of it is stuff I have been collecting through the years, or I have found for reasonable prices on ebay, or have hand made myself. Probably the most expensive items in my collection are the actual Toy Story Collection pieces. Well, and the Medicom Rocky Gibraltar which I have had for many years now, but even back when I found him I paid a hefty sum. I bought him back when Toy Story was off of everyone’s radar and they hadn’t even announced the third movie yet.
Good job Wampar! You’re an inspiration you know! All you need now is marie antoinette, her little sister, and the bear. But those would take up alot of room like the truck. Besides you already go above and beyond any other collection! ![]()
Re: Wampar’s Latest Customs
Bookworm and Dolly look great, especially dolly.
It’s amazing how a few additional details (like the real buttons and the real “eyes”) make the doll look so much better and so much more screen-accurate (although I realise that is also due to the hand-crafted body, hair, etc).
Bookworm looks great and he works! That’s more important than being perfectly in scale, although he looks pretty decent to me, especially since there is not much to judge his scale on in TS3.
