Toy Story Replicas (No trading-related posts please)

About the bucket size, it definitely would have to be bigger to fit 200 army men, but it could have been the shot that made it look so big. In Toy Story 2 while they’re at Al’s toy barn, potato head knocks over army men containers, and if I remember correctly, they were the same size as the collection one. Also in Toy Story 3 there is an army men container in the background. Which can be seen here: sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak- … 8802_n.jpg
It’s near slinky’s tail. The army men container can also be seen in Andy’s room in Toy Story 2. I advise checking them out for yourself to make your own judgment, I’m just basing it off memory.

If I’m not mistaken, Hamm is sitting on the bucket during the Dr. Porkchop scene. Since the Dinsey Store Hamm bank is in scale, a pretty good estimate of the size of the bucket could probably be made by referencing that shot.

That’s the one thing I didn’t think of. XD I paused the scene where he does that and tried putting the hamm on the bucket upside down, the bucket is indeed too small. The bottom isn’t big enough to put his feet on, and you can tell it isn’t tall enough. So Tyler was indeed right on this one. And thanks for the idea Toodles.

Sadly, I think the sizes aren’t consistant. The TSC bucket looks on model with the one in the picture you posted, but in the TS2 scene, it’s slightly bigger. In some overhead shots from the first film where the bucket is under Andy’s nightstand, it looks huge yet again. Finally, there’s some scenes in Al’s Toy Barn where a stack of buckets are knocked down. I might try to compare shots later. And nice TS3 find, BTW.

For folks that like behind the scenes type pictures, heres the molds for Hockey Puck Guys hands and foot:

I’m casting the first 5 tonight, and will take orders this evening. AFter I get the first one painted, I’ll start the thread. Will be tonight sometime.

will you also be taking orders for eyes tonight?

Great work I edited but I just did not feel making a new thread for one comment. sory I just didn’t know were to post it but I guess I’ll just make a new thread.

Stop popping in with random off topic nonsense, its gotten old. Find an appropriate thread or make a new one for something like that.

I’m loving the hockey puck! It gives the expression “What?” like in the movie. I look forward to buying it along with your other custom Toy Story replicas, they are really the main reason why I finally made an account.

Also, the little tikes people that Andy has, are all of them real toys or are there a couple of custom ones? I have the firetruck already, but I need to look into getting the people themselves still. Any help is appreciated. I plan on making a list of the different ones you see in the movies for myself. In the first one you mostly see them getting in the firetruck, and in the second one you see them when Wheezy sings at the end.

I believe some of them are custom, but we all know the fire truck is real. The firemen Tikes also had a dalmatian to go with the truck, but it’s never seen or used in the film.

Thank you kindly.

On the Toddle Tots, I’m sure Tommy will chime with his perfect customizations on them to give the movie accurate looks. Such as the one wearing the “kyle from south park hat” etc.

And Kyle, you were you talking to?

Was talking to Woodbuzz, he was randomly asking about problems buying TS3 tickets, but he edited it out.

I wouldn’t dare tell you not to post something relevant in your own topic, heh. Nice work, keep it up.

I wasnt asking any thing i was just saying they are avalible to get.

I’m guessing Tommy is Wampar? I saw his collection with his little tikes and they did indeed look 100% accurate. Not sure how good I would be at customizing things though, but I’m sure I would manage. Thanks for the help guys.

That looks really good! I love it, especially the body and feet. The hands look a little odd (aren’t they MPH’s but scaled down and shortened?), but other than that, awesome quality job.

Howdy. Yup, Tommy is me. Pleased to meet y’all by name.

As for my Toddle Tots, I based them on this page in “Toy Story: The Essential Guide”, which came out about the time Toy Story 2 premiered. Looking at the movie there are more that are not shown here…but I figured if I stuck with these it would feel complete enough to satisfy me.

I just bought a bunch of generic toddle tots off of ebay that were being sold together for pretty cheap. I wanted to make sure that I had at least one sailor with the smaller hat (there were two styles), and two with the baseball caps on, one became the South Park Kyle Toddle Tot. Then I repainted with my normal random craft paint…nothing special.

I did sculpt a cowboy hat, a fez, and the little doctor headband with sculpey. I have been pretty happy with how they turned out.

I will say the most difficult part was cutting off the hats so I would have bald heads to start with. I searched and couldn’t find a single bald tot…it is why the fez is too big and centered, there was a giant hole in the top of his head from where the hat he came with was originally placed.

And I did keep one extra tot, who I will eventually turn into the Artist Toddle Tot, but he is pretty low priority to me right now.

Anyone know where i can buy an animal lovin ken doll? The new one just doesnt really do it for me

It’s always nice to wake (7am here) and find this thread has been busy. Puck is looking real good Tyler I can’t wait to see him painted.

wampar those tots look fantastic. I’m really getting into the smaller, less used charaters. Troll, puck, troikas etc. From a modellers point of view their heaven sent. I’m hoping to finish my own Wheezy today and will post some pics later. Great work guys and always interesting.

Finished Wheezy at last. He will have to do until Tyler comes up with his own Wheezy.
