Toy Story Replicas (No trading-related posts please)

Hi. I´m painting Bo Peep, it´s not finnished but I whant to know your opinion

Can you please post the box to this one? This is the perfect Jessie, I’ve been trying to find this one.

Sumori, that’s great!! She looks lovely, I wish I had one  Tyler, he said we can’t have them in the US yet :frowning:

Who said we cant have them in the US?

Heres one right now anyone can buy:

$50 US, and the shipping looks to be about $20

$70 isnt too bad for an import

Wow. I wish I could get that, but I’m not allowed to buy online :frowning: and the one I found is cheaper(if not as perfect)

If you have the link, feel free to share, there are others who dont mind buying online. And those seem to be just overseas only, doubt we’ll get them at brick and mortar stores here.

New Woody head, looks better than the TSC:

He has bottom teeth, rather than the unpainted void.

$70 is pretty good all in. She isn’t perfect though Tyler. They are things that can be fixed though. The material on the chaps is pretty cheap stuff but with a little work this Jessie is the best so far.

They had that Woody in my local tru. Another Mattel figure. Their doing a decent job with their main figures to be fair.

thaks you ^^

Here you have a pic with my Jessie (the cheap one from Thinkway) and Mattel version.

this is a cheaper doll from ebay. And the seller ships to US.

Also her shirt is embroidered.
Depend on the version (TS or TS3) the phrases are diferent. [/img]

That one from Thinkway looks awful compared to the Mattel in my opinion.

Awesome thank you for the comparison. The mattel Jessie I like better. It has some inaccuracies, but overall its more of the Jessie feel. Floppy rag doll. Not an irregularly stuffed doll with larger limbs.

I want the nice one, but it’s not possible for me :frowning:

I don’t understand why Thinkway wasn’t able to get a slimmer waist on the TSC Jessie when it was obviously no problem for Mattel, even with the voice box. I also like the velcro job on their Jessie better. It looks much easier to fasten.

a better pic…

They sell those Mattel Jessie dolls at my local store. I could help you guys and pick out good ones with great quality control if you want. The total with shipping seems to be $80 US but could be less (I will refund if there’s a difference). I’m not out to make a profit, I just know how hard it is to get something you want from overseas so I want to help.

Quite often (every month or so) we have 20% off sales so you could wait until then but they might sell out in the mean time (what with TS3 coming out). By the way Tyler, the Mattel Woody you put a link to is the one that says “Somebody poisoned the waterhole”.

My TSC Jessie should be in the country any day now and when it is I will post comparison shots.

I’ve seen that Jessie in Target and Toys R Us stores in the U.S. I’ve never really thought about getting her because she looks so out of scale…I’m waiting for a side-by-side comparison before I decide on this one.

I don’t understand it either. Ironically, the Thinkway rag doll version of Jessie (the one with no voice box) is practically perfect in body shape.

I don’t know much about the technology involved but maybe it’s because the Mattel Jessie only has 6 or 7 sayings and the TSC one has many more. Doesn’t really explain the non-collection Thinkway version though…

Thanks for the link! I bought one, and I’ll post photos when she gets here. Hopefully I’ll also have a decent TSC version by then as well so I can post side-by-side photos.

Now, do I order a Woody from that Australian site to go with her? Hmmmm…

It may have to do with the interactive features of the voice box. And they may have found it cheaper to just use the same voice box enclosure for both the TSC and non-TSC talking versions. But still, our “Jessie who needs to go on a diet” looks sub-par compared to both the rag doll version and the Mattel version.

I think someone else mentioned before that a possible reason why the TSC Jessie had a larger waist is so she can ride and balance on Bullseye, whereas Mattel’s Jessie doll probably wouldn’t be able to…
