It’s the fashion doll alright. I think that figure comes packaged with a rather cool Bullseye as well. The Bullseye looked pretty good too. I think someone here has posted pics of that set.
That would be me. ![]()
Here is that photo again:
And that Bullseye is pretty good, for a hard plastic version. It is not quite in scale (it’s about 11 inches tall, where it should be about 13 1/2 or 14 inches, if I remember right), but has some good detail, especially on the saddle.
That’s the set I saw. I really liked it and it wasn’t over expensive either. I’ve had a big buying week on eBay though, so it will have to wait. Thanks for posting the pic again Robodad.
Yeah, I still haven’t seen any sign of TSC Jessie or Bullseye yet and I was starting to warm up a bit to Mattel’s Jessie after seeing the UK pics, so it’s too bad that I got the wrong one. I know it’s because they used the same head that I got fooled and for assuming that they were both the same size. The only other Jessie available where I am is Thinkway’s cheap one, which I was already not interested in cause of the plastic hair.
@ wampar I think you should get Rockem Sockem Robots for your collection.
Get them for yours too.
I’m pretty excited now because I just acquired an original 1961 Chatter Telephone from E-bay that’s in great condition, with all the stickers and everything. Once I get it, I’m going to attempt to alter it slightly and give it some sneaky looking eyebrows like the one in the film.
Despite the fact that we’ve seen little of the Chatter Phone so far, I’m already a big fan based on what few scenes he’s shown up in, so I look forward to having a replica! (Plus, I’m also a sucker for classic toys like that.)
Congrats! I got one of those about a month ago, and the differences between it and the newer versions are huge. Plus, mine has very similar amounts of “wear and tear” to the one in the film shots we’ve seen. Good luck with the eyebrows, and I will be anxiously awaiting pics of the result!
are there any shots of the new thinkway chunk? He is the last sunnyside toy i need from thinkway and im on the fence
The one I got doesn’t have much wear and tear, and it’s kind of funny how “movie accurate” it’s wear and tear is! The biggest thing is a bit of paint scratched off on the red spot on the nose, very much like the film. It seems that most Chatter Telephones wear in the same ways for some reason…
That’s true. Unfortunately, though, most of the ones I’ve seen on ebay have serious tears in their stickers, and many are completely missing. I felt really lucky to find one with all stickers complete and intact (and not even faded!), and just enough light scratches to make it a believable replica for the film. The only real flaw in mine is the amount of wear on the handset cord. It is a little worse than the film version, but not too bad.
The stickers looks to be in very good condition on the one I ordered. I’m going to inspect them once I receive it to make sure. A couple of edges on the top decal seem a bit frayed in the picture, so I’ll probably try to repair that a bit too. Otherwise, it seems to be in ridiculously good condition given the age of the toy. We’ll see for sure once it arrives!
what articulation does chunk have???
Waist, shoulders, elbows, bicep swivels, legs and knees. 11 points notcounting the face.
Face turns by either moving it yourself or pushing in one of the spikes on top of his head.
Sounds cool but I have to admit that after reading that list of articulation points, my first reaction was “He has a waist??” ![]()
Just got the remote controlled babyface from disneystore. I think the remotes battery must be dead because i cant get this thing to work. The toy itself seems cool, but not to scale.
i just bought rockem sockem robots from target yesterday. there real accurate and only $18
I found those "broken"last year at a yard sale for $.50 because the red one came off, and I fixed it…
I own some but i can’t find them due to recently moving. i might just get replacements at Target
