I’d love to own a Big Baby, but I don’t think it was based on a specific doll, so I think you’d have to find one that looks similar and modify it to make a Big Baby replica.
That’s what I was trying to do, but I’m not really sure what to look for. “Baby Doll” returns somewhere around 47K matches. I need to narrow it down a bit.

Big Baby can be as easy as getting a jointed baby doll, or as hard as making one from scratch. I’ve looked and looked, and couldnt find a close enough match on the head or his pendant. I wont display a baby doll unless it looks exactly like Big Baby, sculpt wise, etc.
I’m a Big Baby fan, and my grandmother has over 3,000 baby dolls and dolls in her home, so I have indeed searched hard.
My mum has one VERY similar to the Big Baby in the film… but both eyes are fine, and she wouldn’t let me ruin the eyes… the doll is VERY old
Sleep eye dolls are super common, having one of those doesnt make it a big baby. The face and head are a very specific sculpt.
No, the head is very similar to that of Big Baby, and the size is very close (maybe slightly smaller)… the eyes and body sculpt are the only thing that are off…

RoboDad, that looks awesome… the Hockey Puck and Rex look a little out of scale, but that still looks terrific
Very cool! If you get a pic, please post it. The head is the main problem for me, I’ve found identical hands and feet to put on a vintage DIY cloth body (made that way on some occassions). If no one ever does a Big Baby, I’ll at least do one for me by scaling up the 3" “collection” Big Baby’s head.

Well if any of you want his blue shorts for your new Ken doll from the Barbie two pack, they just went up on ebay.
Im mainly interested in his shoes.
EDIT: If anyone has shoes matching the doll in question, i will pay 10 dollars shipped for them. I think the new doll has the same shoes but im not willing to pay 25 bucks, for shoes.
For Big Baby, you might want to try the Graco line of dolls- they have white cloth bodies but you can dye it tan with some tea. The headsculpt is similar, maybe a wee bit rounder. Can’t remember if they have sleep eyes or not. Seen them in TRU mainly. They come with a doll sized carseat. -Omar
