Apologies in advance since I’m sure this has already been asked and answered, but I just wanted to confirm.
Is the only semi-accurate version of Hamm available the Disney Store exclusive Hamm? Same question for Buttercup, Peas in the Pod, Dolly and Mr Pricklepants. I understand that the only somewhat screen-accurate versions are also the Disney Store exclusives.
I’d like to add at least a Hamm to my collection, but there hasn’t been a Hamm released in Australia since Mattel’s 5" version with “coin popping” action feature (and the only version currently available is the Evil Dr Porkchop variant). Apart from the Disney Store version, the only ones I can find on ebay are around 3-6" in size. I’d happily grab the Disney Store version, but the shipping veing asked for that version to Australia is obscene.
Unfortunately, Hamm is $19.50 at the Disney Store (which is fine), but they want another $19.95 to ship him to Australia! It’s better than the Ebay auctions, but still seems excessive to me.
Love what you did with Sparks, I actually considered painting the arms and head, too. I also thought about making new stickers that were faux distressed like the promotion image.
$20… that’s ridiculous… I come from Australia too, and it bugs me that we get everything last, or sometimes not at all (like the Hamm toy)… I am tempted to move to America simply for the toys … probably be cheaper then having them all shipped
What’s the proper scale for Hamm? I ordered the Kelloggs promo bank, which is 5 inches high, 8 inches long and was curious about how close it would be.
Andy’s toys: the PIXAR ball (almost complete), Sheep with lamp (next project starting probably tomorrow), Mr. Spell, and Robot. (Also going to try and find the playskool baby monitors…but have thus far had no luck.) I am not going to worry so much about Rocky’s scale. I love the one I have. Don’t get me wrong, if a bigger one comes along I will get it, but I am quite content with my little guy.
I am most likely going to do all nine of Sid’s main Mutant Toys. Though I will most likely make them with found pieces, so they will be far from film accurate. I am thinking of making Janie, the Pterydactyl, and the muddy soldiers from outside. And I am going to use the label posted in this thread about 15 pages ago to make “The Big One.”
for Toy Story 2 I need: Rockem Sockem Robots, Buzz with the Belt, and Bullseye if he ever actually makes it to Orlando. I am also considering getting a few extra Barbies for the toy aisle pool party scene…if nothing else I will use three dolls in bikins to recreate the limbo portion of the scene.
TS3 is missing a lot…and I am not going to really focus on anymore TS3 characters until I complete my work on the first two films (though I have a doll coming in this week that I intend to try and convert into a Big Baby…we’ll see how that goes.)
I will update a full collection pic when Bullseye finally makes it to Orlando. Tomorrow I am going to call the five area Toys R Uses before heading home…I have hope that tomorrow is the day! Though it is more difficult to get that full master shot since the collection spralls all the way across the room.
By the end of summer the Simpsons figures behind the TS stuff are going away, and a different shelving unit will be put up to get the TS toys off of the ground and grouped on the shelves by family, movie, or scene.
no luck with the monkey from my grandma either. I havent straight out asked for it because i would feel rude, but i heavily hinted at my desire to own it
