Sorry to bring this up again, but does anyone that is skilled in photoshop (and I can see from this thread that quite a few of you are :stuck_out_tongue:) could someone whip up a better version of this - (flickr.com/photos/51546797@N04/4748041937/) it’s the cover for the How to defeat Zurg manual

Wow, now we see a seller who is fully taking advantage of TS fans.

I might have to get the Disney Store Hamm as my next toy, I think putting him in my collection will really start to pull my collection together. I’ve always had a Woody and Buzz doll so their new TSC additions don’t change the look of my room. They are in the same spot as my old dolls. The only doll that sticks out right now is Bullseye.

Any sightings of Disney Store Hamm in the UK? I might get a friend\ to pick me one up and ship it, cuz it will certainly be cheaper than having Disney send it

I did what I usually do for reference shots: Put in the Bluray and took pictures of my television screen. Hope this works for you.

Thanks a lot Wamper
I was thinking of printing it off and using it as a cover to a game guide I got for the old Toy Story Game

That has a reserve, it’s probably around $80.

I was watching some of the clips at disney.com again, and found something that might help settle the debate about Buttercup’s height. Here is a screenshot from one of the clips:

As you can see, the top of Buttercup’s horn is about even with the mouth of the Totoro figure (the 16 inch version) in the photo. His feet are slightly “higher” in the shot, but that is because he is slightly further away from the “camera”. Based on this shot, I measured that on my Totoro, and that makes Buttercup between 10 and 11 inches tall. I don’t have the Disney Store plush version yet, but from all of the pics I’ve seen, it doesn’t look like he is quite 10 inches tall, but he is closer than I thought.

The Disney Buttercup stands at just over 8 inches from foot to the tip of his horn.

I finally picked them up at the disney store 2 days ago. They sold out of Lotso and Peas in Pod real quick though so there weren’t any :frowning: They said to check back. Buttercup seems pretty small as far as movie scale goes

About the dump truck, I haven’t been able to find many good shots of it online so far, but the ones I have seen lead me to believe it is based on this truck from Tonka:

I say “based on” because there are a few differences (such the lack of a Tonka logo anywhere on the movie version), and a couple of other minor changes, but the size and overall design seems right. This truck is about 17" long and 10" wide.

I have some references from the movie for Buttercup’s height.

Not the best reference because his head’s tilted, but he looks to be about 2 inches above Mr. Pricklepants, or 4-5 if his head was straight.

Here he seems to be about 1-2 inches above Dolly and goes up to about Toroto’s mouth/eyes.

Hope that helps! (Sorry about the quality.)

Speaking of Totoro
Does anyone know of any reputable online sellers who have the correct Totoro plush?

TIA

I got mine here, but it appears that they are out of stock right now (no add to cart button is visible).

I watched it for quite a while before pulling the trigger, so my guess is a lot of other people also waited until after the movie came out to order theirs.

Thanks
I was seeing their eBay shop and they have the 12" of the correct facial expression or the 16" with the grinning expression
but yeah, out of the exact one right now.

It shows the power of Toy Story 3, that it can turn replica toys for a 20+ year old movie into highly sought after collectibles.

Looks like these places have it for a bit more

I wish you hadn’t posted that link. Now I’m looking at their Catbus and soot sprite. Those look pretty cool (non-TS, of course, but still cool).

I’m a big fan of Hayao Miyazaki too. Just never thought about getting a Totoro plush until TS3.

The Grinning one is also correct too though, as he makes that face in the movie towards the end. Just depends if you want, neutral or happy, as they’re both “technically” right.
