Toy Story Replicas (No trading-related posts please)

Wow Wampar that bo peep ended up great.

Double post I wonder how that happend XD

Amazing work wampar! I plan on using the new sculpt with the vintage animal lovin ken clothes as well. Your Bo Peep is so good that it looks like something you would buy in stores.

wampar, the eyebrows on the Chatter Telephone look perfect. I never got around to creating any for mine even though I had planned to, but seeing how good the ones you created look, I might give it a shot one of these days! Are they just made out of Sculpey or something like that?

Yup. White sculpey and hot glue. Didn’t even have to paint them.

Awesome. I might have to give that a shot, then.

Wampar, there’s only so many times I can tell you your work is great. One more time isn’t going to hurt though.lol. Well done sir, you are truly the replica king.

Chatter looks great with those brows

I haven’t seen the film yet, so the tied up Ken intrigues me. The new head sculpt is great, I will keep looking for him.

I said you would finish your lamp before me didn’t I. Seriously nice work on that. The sheep look far better at the correct scale. Is that shade a print off? If you painted that by hand you are the master for sure.

Keep your pics coming mate.

I did print the lamp shade. I made a very rough sketch of it on paper, and scanned it. Then I blocked in the color with very simple geometric shapes in Photoshop. I decided to use one sheep instead of drawing multiples because it was SO much easier to do that.

One of these days I will get my son to teach me how to use this computer for more than posts on here. I just realised how far off the mark I am with my sheep on my shade. No way am I painting it all again though.

I think at this point their not going to be willing to save this topic. it might be a good idea to use something like google cache to preserve the entire thread while we still can.

To say something on topic: nice Bo. the sheep and lamp look great. I have to say though the dress could be better… Im not sure it can be done properly with cloth. the problem is its not round enough, its too cone like. maybe if you were to put some hoops in there or something? I dont know much about how to control the shape of it.

Yeah, I tried reshaping, but I had already stiffened the cloth so it wouldn’t pull straight down, and now it can’t be reshaped without looking like hell. It is something I would try to figure out how to redo, but that is not likely since I am doing this just to satisfy myself, and I am pretty happy with her as is.

Since the movies release there are plenty of new members. Starting a new replica thread may not be such a bad thing. Just under 100 pages is a lot to trawl through for new comers. I’m sure those who have posted pics before can do it again. It’s a pain, but there it is. I wasn’t sure if this thread was needed along with the collection thread at the start. It proved to be a great decision in the end and must continue in some form. Maybe Kyle or Wampar can get it started.

That Bo Peep lamp is a work of art.

The Ken and Barbie duo also look great. I wish Mattel had used a “material” that was closer to the original Great Shape Barbie for their TS3 Barbie. The colour of the clothes from the original Great Shape Barbie looks much more screen-accurate than the really shiny blue used on the TS3 Barbie.

And the “display scene” of both Ken and Barbie is perfect!

Awesome Lamp Wamper. Ever think on doing any tutorials on how to make it?

I think you should recreate the first scene of Toy Story… just need the robot

found a Trixie at Kmart:

It looks in scale to me. Anyone else no anything about it?

It’s actually not to scale. That’s from the small scale Disney/Pixar Collection. It’s only like 6 inches.

Hey Wampar, could you post a pic of your collection that includes the bo lamp? Also, does anyone know where i can find the cup Wampar used to make his zurg?

I saw that cup only once, and I don’t remember where I found it back in the day. But I have never seen it again. And simple google and ebay searches turn up nothing.

Haha I love the way you display ken!!!

Wampar, your collection is truely amazing. I’m actually thinking about borrowing a barbie house from my niece when I get my own Barbie and Ken, and then I might mod it into Ken’s dream house. Oh, and I have a Zurg that’s to scale, but he’s a plushie I got at Disney years ago. Same for my Rex and Ham.
