Twlight Haters Unite!

Well, we gave it a try and we hated it.

OK…

For the record, I’m Team Jacob. I never liked the creepy-manipulative vampire (Or as Captain Kirk would call him, the pointy-teethed b*****d). xD

But really, does it matter whether anyone like or dislikes Twilight? As long as it’s successful, I guess they’ll keep pumping out the ‘fantasy-creatures’-love for a long time to come. In fact, I read a Stewart interview where they revealed they’ll be filming the final book as a two-parter like HP. You sneaky film producers… you get two box-office takings for the price of one! wags finger

Yeah, he was manipulative. But so was Jacob.

Both characters were so disgusting… Well, the three of them, as Bella is the most boring protagonist ever.

Spirit Of Adventure, I agree with you about Bella being a boring character, but she’s not that boring.
Also, while we’re on the subject… I’m Team Edward, because honestly, I don’t care for Jacob, although my friend from 3rd grade who I’ve had a crush on ever since likes the actor that plays him (Taylor Lautner) … What does he have that I don’t have? (Besides a acting career)

Honestly, I don’t hate Twilight. It is okay, mildly enjoyable, but people cram it into my face. New Moon was 30% better than Twilight, a good sign. I’m Team Woody, if I’m in a team

I don’t really like Twilight, it’s just getting girls into a vampire boy and they fall in love, girls need to know that you can’t really get to marry some hot movie star, like Justin Beiber

Uh… your ladyfriend’s admiration and adoration? :stuck_out_tongue: Sorry, that’s real low. But I’m detecting a Freudian reason for your animosity towards Jacob…

I’m also kinda miffed that an apparently lowbrow film gets so much hype (maybe it’s actually intelligent, I can’t say, I didn’t watch the movie).

I was checking cinema booking (a lame hobby of mine, just like how people check sports stats and stuff) and I was immensely annoyed that almost all seats for all sessions were booked out for the midnight showing and the rest of the weekend, in comparison with better films like… mmm… Toy Story?

I only go to see one of the Twilight movies, if my friends want to go and see it, so what I do is, I bring my iPod Touch and add new videos, music or apps to keep me entertained. If thry ask me what part did you like, I always look on the movie review sites, and just say what the movie critics like about the movie, It’s a brease :sunglasses: .

I’ve never seen any of the Twilight movies, and I’ve never seen any problem with them. I’ve never seen any girls (or guys?) who are totally obsessed about the movie. I always see three sides, people who hate the movie, people who love the movie, or people who just don’t care at all about the movie, and probably haven’t seen it either (like me  ). Do i hate Twilight? No. Do I like it? Heck no!

Laff out loud, why do you pay for a movie and watch your iPod in the theatre instead? Wouldn’t your fellow audience members get annoyed by the glare?

Here’s a strategy to help Pixar out… tell the ticket seller you’re watching Toy Story 3, then once the usher rips your stub and lets you into the cinema hallway, just go to the Twilight theatre with your mates. That way, Twilight doesn’t get a single cent, and your money goes to Pixar’s well-earned pockets!

No, no, I got a better idea. Be a ‘Heckler’. You know the term? Just mock the film whenever possible in the most annoying fashion, like laughing at inappropriate moments (like when Bella is surrounded by vampires, for example) or shouting advice at the screen (“Pash her, Jacob! Show Edward how it’s done!”)… stuff like that.

The audience can’t blame you as they’d probably be doing the same thing, except the exact opposite of you (swooning whenever Bella stares at Ed, or screaming whenever Jacob appears topless, etc.), so they can’t blame you for being overenthusiastic. Better still if you can rope in your friends to ‘group heckle’ together.

If I get invited to watch Twilight by my mates, you can bet I’ll be laughing and crying at the wrong times on purpose. :smiling_imp:

Good plan, thedriveintheater!

But it depends, Pixar will be getting money, but I do something simaler.
If I go to the movies alone, sometimes i might buy a ticket to like Marmaduke for example, and then when the person rips up the ticket, I might go and see something diffrent, I done that once with my friends, we saw Toy Story 3, and don’t ask me why, but we saw SATC2, hey, it was the only film that was on, it was late a night haha!

But when I use my iPod Touch, I get like 99 cent rentels, rihgt now they have Whinne The Pooh movies cheep, it’s 99 cents, so why not .
I try to avoid the $5.99 films, but it’s hard, I rarly get one of them .

Oh my word, why would you want to support Marmaduke? (I assume that you didn’t mean this as a hypothetical example?)

But good work on SATC2. That shallow film on crass commercialisation doesn’t deserve a single cent, so good on ya for supporting Pixar instead (Yes, I watched ‘Carrie and Friends Do Abu Dhabi’ too, and sorry, but I absolutely despised it).

Everyone, if your friends convince or blackmail you into seeing Twilight, you know which movie to say to the ticket-man!

I said example, I haven’t really seen Marmaduke, besides, the plot is bad, and it aims at like 5-7 year olds. Golly I should have said Prince Of Pursa or something.

Haha, yeah, I suspected you were just giving an example, just wanted to be sure so that if you did, I can chastise you (Marmaduke is showing in Oz, to my knowledge). xD

PoP… meeeh… not really. I’m glad I supported it on a weekend showing, but I didn’t really feel it satisfied me as much as TS3 or A-Team did (which I unfortunately watched on cheaper tickets). I just have this principle on ‘voting’ which movie deserves my money (which I’m sure cinemagoers do all the time, if unconsciously). So for example a movie like TS3 would deserve multiple weekend viewings and maybe an IMAX session for me, while something like Twilight would warrant a Cheap Tuesday or a rental. We as the consumers have a bigger power over the studios than we realize.

Sorry for the little digression, but you get the idea.

We all make mistakes, it’s ok

Well, now comes the time when we will know if this absolute garbage will overcome the Pixar materpiece in the box office.

I sure hope no, but there are too many silly girls who will watch this over and over.

Looks like some of the Twilight crowd couldn’t handle the Paranormal Activity 2 teaser…

Wow. I know Twihards are immature, but just wow.

I love the article title… just goes to show that the teenyboppers who watch vampires and werewolves beating each other up can’t stand a [i:3hzcl0u8]trailer[/i:3hzcl0u8] for ‘Ghost Hunters 2’. :-\

I’m even more concerned with the fact that the rugrats are seeing a teenage film with some pretty adult themes instead of a more kid-friendly alternative…
