Thanks for that info, C-3PO. I know also they might give out t-shirts for cinema workers to wear, like the did with the Hoyts cinema chain here. Last year the girls wore t-shirts that said “I WALL-E”, which were official shirts given to them by Disney. Maybe they’ll do the same again and I’ll be able to score one on eBay.
Rachel, good luck with that, I’d love to get a hold of that kind of stuff. There was that claim that Pixar wasn’t gonna market that much stuff for Up (BOOOO, there’s a lot of really nifty stuff they could do in the movie, with all the novelty stuff Carl has in his house and the stuff he keeps sacred for Ellie, knick knacks are awesome!) which makes me a tad uneasy about the possibility, but I hope Pixar realizes how much they could do with it.
So, I was on eBay looking for a grape soda pin like the one Carl wears, and I came across a set of ten up for auction. I had to grab them UP.
Here is what they look like: img81.imageshack.us/img81/1265/grapesoda1t.jpg
When I get actual photos of my set I’ll post them here.
ARE YOU SERIOUS?! Would you be willing to sell one? I’d love love LOVE to get my hands on one down the line, but I don’t have the money at the moment. This is like a godsend if you’d be willing to, I was afraid I’d never have a chance to get one. Please?
Nah, I understand if you wouldn’t want to, having 10 of those things would be awesome. I’d REALLY like dibs on one if you plan on selling some. There’s only 300 after all (Unless those aren’t the collectors ones), so that’s like a really huge deal. Lemme know how they are when you get them! And congrats!
Oh those are not the official ones; someone makes those and puts them up on eBay. In fact, they have one pin up for sale (about $3) last time I checked eBay.
Do a search for “grape soda pin”.
Oh, wow! That’s a pretty sweet fan service from whoever does it! It’d be nice to get my hands on an official one though. I’d just wear the other one around (maybe, )
Ah I’m so sad McDonalds didn’t have any Up toys.
Yeah, that would have been nifty. I’d have gone to McDonalds for once, havent eaten there in like 4 years
So, in addition to the signed poster and Grape Soda Pin, I really want to collect the rest of the Disney Up pins. There’s one little problem,… they’re ALL LE, and I don’t think there’s more than 300 of any one pin. Then again, that’ll make it that much cooler if I manage to get them.
I’ll most likely be able to get the Grape Soda Pin and the poster, as long as the bidding doesn’t skyrocket. We’ll see!
When my father, sister, and I went to see Up at the El Capitan Theatre, I took several photographs of the film’s merchandise at the adjoining Disney Store. There was some pretty nifty stuff there! I ended up buying the backpack, because I just couldn’t resist…
I apologize for the glare and highlights in those photographs of the limited edition artwork pieces. Oh, and that last image is a picture of a Russell sticker in the window of the shop, if anyone is wondering.

OH MY GAAAAAAAAWWW
I have to go there, I’d spend my life savings in that store, holy crap! And you got to go see it at the El Capitan?! GEEZ! I want everything in those photos, NOW.
(sorry for the shouting, I’m freaking out about all that stuff, soooooo incredible)
I love that ad with Dug for the talking dog collar! You can see the artwork on the online Disney store site (it’s also one of the designs you can get on the customized mouse pads and probably some other stuff). Too cute!
Hot Toys has picked up the license for Up and will be releasing figures. They’re on display at the Tokyo Toy Show.
These are awesome! Do you mind if I share your pics on my blog?
Those are pretty awesome. Hope they get some of Kevin and Dug!
They’re not my pics. Just found them posted on the blog I linked to.
I want that Carl figurine. So intensely do I want it…the coloring, the attention to detail! It’s so splendiforous~
…my UPsession scares me at times…
In any case, I’d really like to have it. I know I’ll never get it, but I can always dream.
You and me both Castoro Chiaro, you and me both high fives, I also really want that Carl figurine, as well as a single piece of Up swag (Mitch is hooking me up, thankfully).
I actually wanna build like a replica of Carl’s house someday, and live in it. It’d have all the knick-knacks, the paint job, everything. Something to think about when I’m working at Pixar and totally rich!
Thanks for those El Capitan photos, Mitch! I like the orange, frayed cap and blue logo t-shirt. But the backpack looks uber cool, too. I can understand why you bought it.
Uhhh, that first Russell figure looks scary, but the chibi Russell is cute.
I almost fainted when I saw those pictures. Those look AMAZING!!
