Wow, that Russell figure sure has a creepy look about him…
I ended up having a hard time finding any of the merchandise for Up.
Recently I went into a Disney Store and they had plushes of Dug, Alpha, Beta and Gamma!
They talk, too, but only Alpha says ‘Squirrel!’ which is kind of a bummer. And I might have to fashion a Con of Shame for one of them to wear.
But as of yet, I haven’t found any toys of the small mailman and the one who smells of prunes.
I’ve seen pictures of them, I just haven’t found anybody carrying the items…
Granted, I haven’t been looking that hard…
Yeah, the stuff that’s mostly on the shelves is the dog plushies, and sometimes shirts. I got to see the snowglobe (bout slobbered all over myself over that, it’s amazing) and some books and stuff, and I got the giant Dug plushie, makes an excellent pillow
The Calendar!!! I knew there had to be one. I like it!

I picked that up when I got my Pixar Shorts book back in Ohio last week. Haven’t even opened it yet, but dang it was EXPENSIVE! 15 bucks!
I was lucky to find a set of Up figures earlier today at the Paris Disney Store on the Champs-Elysées. Apparently (as written on the packaging), it’s exclusive to Disney Stores.
I was incredibly happy when I saw that. That’s just what I was looking for. I don’t own a lot of Pixar toys - or derived products - but i do love this kind of collectionable figures.
So, it was a good day
Omg, I want a carl fredricksen figure , can’t seem to find any though.
Archibald: Those look brilliant! How much did they cost? And how big are they? If they were available in the US, I would probably get them. If not, I’ll just wait for the pricey ones of Carl and Russell. But besides Russell, those are actually pretty well crafted.
Bryko614 : they cost me 25 €, which means they would be at approximatively 35 $. I thought it was not very expensive for those eight nice figures.
As for the size, I took a photo of Carl in my hand, so that you can see for yourself :
I saw those on the online store, they look pretty good. Dug’s fur is a bit dark though, he looks a bit funny. Nice post though!
Archibald, thanks for posting the pic; those are great! Does Kevin have a bendy neck? (Comparing the “solo” pic to the pic of them in the box, it looks that way.) And they even included Muntz, which is cool; I think he’s kind of hard to find “stuff” of.
karly05 : unfortunately, Kevin doesn’t have a bendy neck. It’s just the way I took the picture who gave this impression.
A thing about Muntz : it’s probably the best figure in the set. He’s really wonderfully made ; just like the character in the movie. Take a look at the details on the face :
Wow, you weren’t kidding! That’s pretty amazingly detailed for the general look of that set! Thanks for sharing Archibald, I hope they release these in the US! Sounds like you’re enjoying them.
Oh, wow, Muntz looks great! I can just hear him saying, [spoil]“I can’t wait to hear how this one ends.”[/spoil] Thanks for posting that!
Err…karly05, I hope this won’t annoy you, actually the quote said: [spoil]“Well that’s the best one yet, I can’t wait to hear how it ends.”[/spoil]
LOL, no, chef, that doesn’t annoy me. I didn’t think it was quite right, and I knew that you or ffdude would know the quote. Hey, I’m the mere “8-timer” here. But once I get that Blu-Ray, look out!
Heheh…I’ll wait for that!
Archibald: A really, really, big thank to you by posting this. It’s been a long month for me without getting any Pixar merchs.
Hey guys, I just wanted to share with you all photos of the Kevin plush from the Disney Store.
You can find more of those in high res here: lphinguyen.com/Other/Kevin/9 … 0622_XVTaA You’re welcome to download and share.
I took these photos to demonstrate the use of lighting photos to my photographer friends. If you want to see: utdphoto.blogspot.com/2009/09/my … ostly.html
Aw, that Kevin plush is so cute!
Have any members in Australia (yes, all two of you) seen any Up merchandise sold here? Usually Toys R Us is the go-to store for Pixar merchandise, like last year with WALL-E, but I went to a TRU and couldn’t find anything. All I want is a Dug plush. Mind you, I haven’t looked in Target yet for any books, and they usually sell a good range of Pixar books.
Woah, Charles looks freakin’ scary! And cheeky, too! Cool figurines, Archibald!
Rachel: I think there’s three if you include Phileas and nathan, but anyway I’ve seen zilch merchandising so far. I don’t go to suburban shopping malls that often (I usually go to the city’s more upscale but cramped shopping arcades), and I’m not entirely sure where to find a Toys R’ Us branch in Sydney. I usually go the Singapore ones on secret jaunts but by the time I’m vacationing in Singapore, they’ve removed the Pixar merchandise (since the movie premiered a long time ago). Usually they’re full of Cars loot, which although I’m a fan of the movie, I don’t support their tie-ins for some reason.
But yeah, it seems a bit dry this year. My local GU doesn’t have redecorated snack bar packaging either (and they’ve removed the Ice Age 3 one from their drink cups ). I think Up is not promoted as heavily as Wall-E and is more like Ratatouille.
pixarkid: I think the Kevin plush has been posted before, but I don’t mind a repost! Welcome to the forums, did you get one? Finding Kevin as a toy is as difficult as in real-life, man!
