Yeah? I can’'t find a redeeming quality in that film.

Watching Y Tu Mamá También.
I am hoping for my game to come in the mail today.
Doing the last corrections and wrapping up the semester.
What the heck is this? Is this a meme?
I’m sad to here about all this drama TDIT. Don’t worry about ranting, it can be healthy to let it all out sometimes and have someone listen. Just keep your chin up, and weekend is almost here and hopefully feelings and things at your job will cool over.
Thanks TDIT (and everyone else!) for the well wishes! I do have auto insurance, as it is a requirement in California (I think nation wide to? But I’m not sure). Since I did nothing wrong, and got rear ended, she’d end up paying for the rent-a-car and my doctor’s appointment. I’m just worried if she lies to the officer or something, because it’s his final call. She admitted to me it was her fault, and I hope she told the officer too, we’re getting the officer report today. But it’s pretty obvious that she was at fault. So I shouldn’t worry too much!
Today was my first day of classes of my last semester here at the JC! So far I’ve had Physical Anthropology and World History. Next is Comparative Mythology. Good day so far!
Somebody who I didn’t want just came to my home ![]()
That is not good.^^ ![]()
MY game came in the mail a few hours ago.
PixarTeo: Oooh what game?
SoA: I hope it wasn’t an intruder! If it’s a guest, I hope he/she leaves you alone pronto!
EJE: “Fairy 'Nuff” is just my personal way of saying “Fair enough”. I don’t want to continue arguing that I like something when someone clearly doesn’t (or vice-versa), yet I don’t want to leave the conversation hanging, so I just insert the pun as a shorthand for “Let’s agree to disagree”. Of course, if I’m in the mood for a debate (and if I feel I’m not irritating the other person), I would continue to post my points in support of my argument.
There’s actually a character in an Usbourne book I read as a kid who has that name!
…
Today went much better, I had a super-duper easy page to lay out (it’s a half-page, single story and image, five columns). The reporter who had the row yesterday greeted me when I greeted her, although she could be just being friendly. And while my supervisor still grumbles over my mistakes, I sense he’s in a better mood today.
Plus, I pitched my entry for Media Watch (the column I’m writing for) to the entertainment editor. She’s put me on the regular roster (I was on an ad-hoc, write-whenever-I-feel-like-it, basis last year) and I have to come up with something by the last week of the month. She approve my pitch to write a review on Kevin Bacon’s The Following and two food docos.
Here’s the interesting bit: When I rattled off a few of the alternatives, I mentioned Bravest Warriors, a web series done by the creator of Adventure Time. Her face lit up like a Christmas tree when I said “Adventure Time”. Turns out she is a huge fan of the show!
I shamefully admitted I’ve only watched the short film it was based on, and she’s asked me to make Bravest Warriors a lead story for my next entry and go see A.T. pronto!
Watching True Lies.
@TDIT The first Sims game. ![]()
Kinda worried about my brother. He has been sick and breathing rapidly a lot lately.
That is not good.
^^
E-J-E: I hope you’re feeling better and it sounds like you’re doing fine, which is good! Also, sounds like you’re in for a good semester of classes. Comparative mythology, huh? Sounds pretty cool if you ask me, even if I’m a little clueless about it! Best of luck.
TDIT: I’m glad to hear you had a better day at work. So you are a sub-editor? That’s very interesting. If you wouldn’t mind me asking, how do you enjoy your job? What are the best things about it? Or maybe you’ve written about it somewhere else on the boards? Either way, I’d be interested if it wouldn’t be a problem!
S330: I’m sorry to hear about your brother. He is in my thoughts and I hope he will feel better.
I can totally relate, Spirit. Finish strong and good luck!
Now that I have finished some important scholarship business finished, I can comfortably return to Pixar Planet. I finished the last of my Gates Millennium application today, and I have so much relief now. I’ve got my fingers crossed, so now all that’s left is to keep working hard and to finish strong.
No. Though the doctors say that he is fine-ish.
I’m sorry to hear that, I hope that he gets better.
Thanks LQstudies! Comparative Mythology is basically an introductory class to mythology, with myths all over the world. We’ll also learn about archetypes such as The Heroes Journey, Floods, and Tricksters. We will study a wide range of myths, from Gilgamish to The Lord of the Rings.
And much luck to you and your scholarships! I need to get on that, really.
Well that is good S 330!

Are you a professor too?
Spirit: Sorry. Oh, me and my misunderstandings. No, I’m far from being a professor, and I didn’t realize you were. I guess I can’t relate. Still, I can imagine you’ve been hard at work. I hope all your plans go well.
Just finished watching Titanic which also means I just finished blubbing my eyes out. ![]()
