What's on your mind? (Status Updates)

AAWWW!! That is sad. I didn’t think that film was bad.^^

Oh, I loved that movie! Granted, WWI is one of my favorite time periods. Plus there was this delightful eye candy:

I actually kind of liked it too. Granted, it’s not the movie of the year, or a good movie even. I just had so much fun watching it!

I agree! Although there are a handful of Dreamworks movies that I think are better than Pixar movies. But overall, I am more of a Pixar fan!

I enjoyed watching it, I have watched it twice actually.

ellie-jessie-eve, what Dreamworks films do you like better? I prefer Pixar over all of them but Flushed Away and Kung Fu Panda 1 and 2 were fantastic, but I still favor Pixar. also, ANYONE WHO IS A PIXARTEER, OUR THREAD IS DEAD! EXCEPT FOR ME AND Pixarteo! Don’t let it die further! :frowning: :`-(

I also think a couple of Dreamworks films are better than a couple of Pixar ones. But the proportion is too small to make a real difference.

I watched Repo Men last night.

It just wasn’t anything special. Could of done without the musical numbers though as I felt they were only included for the sake of having them.

My mom and I started watching Hogan’s Heroes, and I’m going to watch the Rangers and Bruins tonight. I’m SSOOOO glad hockey started finally!

I was watching Resident Evil.

Resident Evil scares me :open_mouth:

It scares me that so bad a film series could get so popular 8D

But I had never watched them and I thought it was time to do it.

 Lol! My friend Gemma loves it and said that I should watch it… I didn’t sleep for two days :open_mouth:

Oh sweet mercy, don’t get me started on the latest RE, Absolution or Extortion or whatever. :unamused: That whole movie was a giant cop-out, the trailer seems to imply that Alice’ll go on a globe-trotting adventure, but it turns out that [spoil]she’s in a giant simulation complex, which is one step away from “It was all just a dream”.[/spoil] I was so angry, thank goodness I was seeing it for a newspaper review and I didn’t waste my money on it!

I had a good time with Extinction, though, but mainly because I went with a group of friends in Sydney and it was a fun late-night screening.

Thinking about Cloud Atlas. It’s a great, great movie that lingers with you long after you’ve seen it. Like Wreck-It-Ralph and Cars (and several Pixar films for most of us here) for me, it changes the way you see certain things in the world. I’ll probably write a full-length review… (beat)… when I find the time.

About to watch Django Unchained.

TDIT, have you got the Xbox message? And is it working?

I just woke up a few minutes ago.

thedriveintheatre, I love your avatar! Rattlesnake Jake and Viper isn’t it?
I am drawing Mermaids… For no reason.

Thank you Bonanna137! Yes, it’s one of my favourite crossover pieces, it’s made by shinragod. I’m wearing it in celebration of the upcoming Chinese New Year. It’s the year of the snake!

PixarTeo: No sorry, I didn’t receive any PM from you, although I did receive one from another member yesterday. Very strange. I’ll clear my inbox and send a PM to you to see if things are working from my end.

Baliboi: Oh gosh, War Horse is one of those movies which is magnificent but I can’t bear to watch again, like Grave Of The Fireflies. It just gets too depressing at times, but it’s beautifully-shot and I love these “View of history from a non-human” stories like Spirit: Stallion Of The Cimarron and The Red Violin.

Gotta go to work. I’m also pondering of changing my pitch for an upcoming article I’m writing for my newspaper next week on police dramas.

I didn’t recive any PM. :frowning:

PixarTeo: That’s cos’ I haven’t sent it yet. I had to rush off to work.

Thinking of how I’m going to write an article due for publication one week from now. My entertainment editor has given the go-ahead for my cop drama piece, now I’ve gotta get down to downloading bootlegs of 'em and finding the time to watch 'em.

Got an eye exam tomorrow and a dental appointment the day after! Fun. :unamused:

Also, this is kinda dumb but I was curious to ask— have any of you ever tried using a substitute for regular shampoo + conditioner? I heard shampoo from the bottle generally stripped your body of too many of its natural oils, which explains why I had to bathe so incredibly often— it made my oil production ridiculous. So I’ve been experimenting with dry shampoo and diluted vinegar, and the results have been very mixed. Does anyone know of any other methods I could try?
