I’ve got a stupid cold.
I was watching Heavenly Creatures.
Today… I am mourning the sudden loss of my Best Friend, Jack. He could always make me laugh, a great person. Always there for others, and fiercely protective of his family and friends. He lead a good life, full of cheer, and now I know he is in Heaven, his love shining down. Jack, I will see you again, someday in the future. I love you.
I’m very sorry to hear that, Bonanna.
I really hope you and all his friends can find some peace over the loss soon.
Been studying for some finals I have to take this week.
Bonanna, may your friend Jack rest in Heaven peacefully. It sounds like he was a great guy; he surely won’t be forgotten. I bet he would be proud of you and your friends for whatever great things you plan on doing in the future. He will be on my mind.
I love the Kung Fu Panda movies, I agree with you on how good they were. I’ve always appreciated Prince of Egypt and Road to El Dorado. I also like the first two Shrek movies. But my absolute favorite is How to Train Your Dragon. And then Puss and Boots, Rise of the Guardians and Megamind are also fun. So that’s like what, half of their films? I’m pretty excited for The Croods.
Sorry for my absence! I was house sitting for a friend’s parents. This weekend was good, because of Martin Luther King weekend, I worked three days this week instead of one. It’s summer, so the wine business is slow this season. I’m expecting to get my hours back later in the Spring.
Bonanna and E-J-E: Sorry, I couldn’t help but notice the discussion on some of the best DreamWorks films. I, for one truly love when they embrace their unique style of movie-making. I’m glad to know that some people actually like Shrek and Shrek 2, EJE! I sometimes used to feel like I wasn’t allowed to like them as a Pixar fan. I mean, I think they’re pretty good. Also, I saw The Prince of Egypt at school one time, and I was really impressed. And I know Madagascar movies aren’t super stellar or anything, but I don’t mind them, though I still agree others are better. Kung Fu Panda was really good too, but I still need to see the sequel. And How to Train Your Dragon.
I know, I’m really bad! Actually, that’s the first on my list of movies I really want to catch up on this summer. Pretty much all the recent ones I have not seen, not out of bias, but because it’s hard to see animated movies with other people sometimes. ![]()
After seeing how many fans there are to so many of their recent movies, I see myself being a regular DreamWorks customer in just months, especially since I won’t feel obligated to wait for my parents’ approval much longer once I reach college later this year.
TDIT: Did you send it now?
Going to eat dinner now.
The semester closes officially for me today. Except for one student who lost an exam and he has to do it next week.
PixarTeo: Nope, sorry! Lemme clear out my inbox first, then I’ll send you a PM and let you know in this thread. ![]()
Strangely enough, I’ve received another letter from another member yesterday. Perhaps try sending again to me?
Or if you have Twitter or deviantART, you can PM me there too:
Twitter: twitter.com/thedriveinthtre
dA: thedriveintheatre.deviantart.com/
Lemme know if you send it to Twitter/dA and I’ll check my inboxes there! Sorry again!
I find this really weird. I went into my sent inbox and there is no letter addressed to you ???
I know I sent it.
EDIT: I sent you another message here. And I separated the explanation into tweets.
PixarTeo: Haha, that means you didn’t send anything to me! Are you sure you did? Maybe you were in a dream hijacked by Leonardo diCaprio. ![]()
Jibes aside, I received your latest message. So it’s all good. Thanks!
Where the earlier attempts went to seems to be a mystery.
Just spent the last hour setting up the Pixar Planet FYC Awards thread! What is FYC? I’m glad you asked! ![]()
Haha!! Very Funny!!

I am going to check out that thread.
Just submitted my first one.
No need to quote the entire post, thanks! - TDIT
Euuuugh. I’m dying at the moment.
See, I really like a lot of vintage Barbies, especially from the late 60s and early 70s. And I know reproductions exist and a few are available on Amazon. I’ve been wanting one of my own for a very long time admittedly, but they’re so expensive I’ve always held off. However, I just recently got a lot of Christmas money and have my eye on this one— and she also appears to be the cheapest of them on there (although still not by much…
). AND the only one left in stock! I can afford her, but I’m just worried that I’ll end up disappointed or feel bad for spending that money on myself for a doll. I am so torn. But I love dolls and don’t even own any Barbies, and I love her outfit and hair! Aughh…
I’m glad to hear it! Yeah, sometimes I feel that it’s Disney and Pixar fans versus Dreamworks fans. When it really doesn’t have to be that way. I feel however that the past couple years that’s changed, and I attribute it to Dreamwork’s growing critical success. They do make great films!
And enjoy seeing those films! I liked KFP2 over KFP. Both great of course. And you’ll love HTTYD, I haven’t met someone who hasnt’! It’s also worth noting that it’s from the same team who directed Lilo and Stitch.
Leirin: Are you sick then? I hope it’s not flu!
You’re very right.
By now, even the less accomplished animation studio has done at lest one good film. I think it’s a great time for the medium.
My co-worker is next to me looking at videos on YouTube of people fighting. I don’t understand what people get out of looking at street fights. People look up these videos, then other people crowd around the phone, and they have a good time looking at these videos. I don’t like looking at people fight unless its in a movie.
Thankyou to all for your kind words, It means more than you think.
