Which Was The First DISNEY Animated Film You Watched ?

I agree with both of you. I’m 99% sure my kids will grow up watching the things I grew up with.

I don’t want to have kids, but if I ever did I’d make sure they get to enjoy the best things about my childhood, plus whatever good new stuff might be available at the time.

^ That sounds about right. I’m not gonna block everything that’s new then, because it there might be some quality stuff out. But they’re definitely watching all the Disney and Pixar movies that I love  And I want to have kids, I’ve always imagined myself getting married and having kids and then being a grandparent.

Actually, I don’t want kids either. But, if I were to adopt, they would never watch the Disney Channel.

My spawn will enjoy watching Libety’s Kids and Looney Tunes. 8D

I’ve wanted to adopt for a while now, but in all reality, I’m not the parent type. So that probably won’t happen either. 8D

I used to watch Disney movies like every day, but I’m pretty sure Aladdin was my first.

Mine was probably… A Bug’s Life (which ignited the passion for Pixar which ignited the passion for movies) or Tarzan. I remember asking to tag along to my parent’s date and my mom telling four-year-old me, ‘Not all movies are like Tarzan!’ I could never get enough of movies. i still can’t. But my fave was Little Mermaid.

I am told that my aunt and uncle had to leave the theater with me when we went to go see The Little Mermaid (I was 4). Evidently, I started screaming when Ursula rose like 40 stories out of the ocean. So that was probably my first.

Heehee, that’s a great story! I’m sure you like the movie now?

When I was little there was a vent above our hallway, and I thought a witch lived there. I named her the most evil name I could think of- Ursula!

8D You guys are great. All I know is that I used to have a set of the PVC Disney store troys-of The Little Mermaid(I still have Triton, Ariel, and Eric! ). My dad used to play with me all the time, so he would pick Ursula up and say “she’s your hero, you know” And I’d say, “No. I don’t like Urserella.” 8D My story isn’t that great, but I just can’t believe how I used to pronounce Ursula!

When I was a kid the only thing better than Little Mermaid was Little Mermaid 2. I would sing Melody’s song, forgot how it goes now, but I would. Recently I went to Disney and watched the Little Mermaid show. And I wondered how I ever got hooked.
Still, I’m thankful I got fed on the good Disney stuff before they went bad. I’ve upgraded to Miyazaki, John Hughes and the Avengers movies but the old Disney’s have a place in my heart.

I think it was the Lion King.

The first Disney film I watched was either The Lion King or Aladdin.

I think my first Disney movie was Cinderella. It might have been Bambi, but I’ve never actually seen Bambi all the way through so it doesn’t count.

Tarzan was the first Disney film I saw in theatres [spoil]for my birthday :sunglasses:[/spoil], but I have no idea what the first one I saw was. I’ve seen so many, and my mother and grandfather are such big fans that for all I know I could’ve seen Snow White and the Seven Dwarves before I could talk.

MayFly: So you dislike Tangled? :open_mouth: 8D JK. If you do, it’s fine. I’m just…shocked…

Mine was The Little Mermaid. <3 My parents told me that I watched it over and over all day and that I used to start bawling whenever the movie was over. Remember, back then it was VHS so you had to sit there and rewind it. 8D

My mom always tells me how she and my dad went to go see The Lion King when she was pregnant with me and after Mufasa died, she couldn’t stop crying through the whole movie.

I remember I used to do that with movies when I was younger. I would always beg to have the first two Toy Stories restarted. Thats one of the reasons why a DVD/Blu Ray player is better then a VCR. 8D

Mermaid was my second. But I didn’t like that one as much as my first.

Le gasp! I never said that. How could I just after we were fangirling on the Tangled thread?? :open_mouth: It’s a fantastic movie. I was just saying that a lot of Disney became kinda crappy after… well, I’m not sure, but they did.
