Don’t plan to watch Home On The Range.
I like them. They’re certainly not my favorites(those usually end up being fairy tales or book adaptations) but I like most of the compilations, and honestly, I think they’re under rated.
Yep. I think every Disney film made under Lasseter has been much better Eisner made in his later days as Disney CCO.
My least favorite canon film is easily Chicken Little, but I’m also not a fan of Home on the Range, Oliver and Company, or The Black Cauldron, to be honest. However, I do feel like HOTR has some interesting visuals and clever ideas (Steve Buscemi cameo!), but the movie as a whole wasn’t executed too well, especially with all the crude humor and generally bad jokes. I mean, Roseanne Barr as a protagonist in a children’s film? Really? Seems like an odd, misguided choice. That’s the biggest no-no for me. Of course, I own all of these movies, and I’ll even watch them with commentary… The life of a geeky collector, you see.
The package features of the '40s aren’t even considered in my rankings of Disney movies. I mean, I haven’t them in years, but they’re so different… I definitely don’t feel like they’re very comparable to other movies Disney has made, and I’m actually not a huge fan of Disney “cartoons” (Mickey and friends… is this blasphemy? I prefer others by far). But then, I like movies like Fantasia and The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, so perhaps I’m a big hypocrite.
Wow, that’s practically my exact list!
Maybe we should talk film more frequently
High five!
Is there a thread to rank all of the Disney films? I know there’s that one renaissance classification one… Hmm.
Yeah, there is. I remember ranking half of the Disney films from the cannon.
The Lion King was the first one I watched I believe.
^ Same. I first saw Lion King when I was about 5.
Is there a thread to rank all of the Disney films? I know there’s that one renaissance classification one… Hmm.
Yes’m, I made that thread myself.
I still have the other half of the the Disney films to rank.
I can do all 51 of them easily. I’m too opinionated.
I wonder if anyone here has ranked all 51.
I haven’t ranked all 51 because I think many of them are on the same level.
But I know which ones I put on the last places.
Well a lot of them are the same good. But I like some a lot more than others anyway. Example, Atlantis isn’t very good. But I love it.
I don’t love it, but I think it has very redeeming elements.
I wonder if anyone here has ranked all 51.
Raises hand
I think what IV says is a very good point about Disney films: some aren’t “good,” but they’re still enjoyable.
Virginia makes a good point. Some Disney films weren’t great, but were enjoyable to say the least.
The couple of films I’m referring to aren’t even enjoyable to me.
You guys know which one I’m talking about.
