Oh boy. I’ll try to be as PG as I can. But today, someone really grinded my gears. There is this one idiot who told one of my theatre friends that she can’t act, sing or belt. It really hurt her feelings. And I wanted to punch the stupid boy because not only is she one of my best friends, but she is one of the best performers that I know at my college. People can be so ignorant sometimes.
TSS: I’m sorry to hear that. People can be mean. It sounds like the person who insulted her thinks their still in high school and can cause drama wherever they go. It’s time for them to grow up and be mature!
Either that person is still in high school, or they’re deaf, or they’re just ignorant. It bothers me, but nothing I can do to change them. THey gotta make the change themselves.
There is this one girl who really grinds my gears, who in her point of view, i grind her gears really badly too. We were going at each other almost the whole time during 8th grade, and we had to go through some counseling to resolve the matter. I stopped my bickering to her, but she hasn’t quit yet, and if she continues, i’ll get back on them.
How Christian Bale voiced for the Dark Night somewhat grinds my gears.
has anyone noticed that when you go on the posts that had the last posts by ncaalim, it has a very strange error message. Did someone like corrupt those threads so no one could post on them or something?
Haha, superhero mods! I am a mod over at a Bone (Jeff Smith’s graphic novel) forum, but I can not really be considered a superhero because everybody behaves just nicely. Teehee!
Alas, what grinds my gears!
I hate when people think an innocent friendship is actually a romantic relationship. Dang it, people! Thanks to them I can barely insert some sweet, platonic affection between characters in my stories/comics, else they think “OMG they hugged each other so they must be in LOOOOVE”. I mostly experience this when I see two characters more as brothers than as lovers. I dunno really…
Thanks for the vote of confidence, TSS. You know which thread to go to find out about issues updates.
somethingguy: Is ncaalim a spammer? Cos’ it’s probably because I may have deleted his posts, hence they don’t exist, and there is an ‘error message’.
EJE: That… would be pretty epic.
Badger: Do you have a link to this forum? I think you’ve given it to me before, but I forgot to join.
And about that… you mean, like, guys and girls can just be friends? I thought, like, the moment you like someone of the opposite gender, you’re in LOVE with them!
Obviously, I’m just yanking your chain, suckers!
I’m sure this sounds stupid, but it’s what’s bothered me the most lately. When people dislike/hate people because they’re different or they have problems. Seriously? Wow. Just wow.
IV, this is NOT stupid. I, too, feel the same way lately. Intolerance for differences in opinion in anything, be it food, cultures, movies, or choice of toothpaste is one of my biggest bug-bears with humanity.
EJE: If this is from personal experience (do you have siblings, or is this a ‘sister’ as in a friend?), I am deeply sorry.
Well, what grinds my gears? The autumn weather in Sydney, which is beginning to feel like winter with the single-digit temperatures and the chilling winds and rains. And summer movie season is coming… how ironic.
Here on Pixar Planet, we’re all supposed to treat each other with respect. So you all know how much it ticks me off when someone says openly how he doesn’t respect a certain member.
Completely agree. Especially the movies and opinions thing. I mean, people will be mean to you, no matter who you are, or how nice you attempt to be. I mean, I don’t care about the punk who said something to me. I’m off that soapbox. But it’s happening to everyone now!! Why?!?!
Thanks tdit! Yes, it was my sister. But we made up, and she got the point how upset I was and apologized. We can’t stay mad at each other for too long though, I don’t know why!
