On a Spring day on November 2004, a passionate Pixar fan, Thomas Huxley (bawpcwpn), made his first post on his recently created Pixar blogspot.com account, in anticipation for the release of Cars that next year. Since then, Upcoming Pixar has covered seven feature films from that magical animation studio in Emeryville, and for ten years, it has been informing, entertained and engaged with Pixar fans across the world. Upcoming Pixar has grown to become the oldest, and one of the leading Pixar blogs on the web, with more than 3,000 articles and more than 1 million visitors each year.
So, on its tenth anniversary, I’m extremely proud, on behalf of Simoa and the Upcoming Pixar team, to unveil the new Upcoming Pixar. As you can notice, the blog has an all-new design! This is the first revamp of the site ever since the blog merged with the Pixar Planet Network in 2007.
We’ve been working on the new website design for more than two years! It goes beyond just a new logo (which we’ve revealed in 2013 on our Twitter and Facebook branding!), or a cleaner design. We’ve made the site much more responsive and accessible so you can engage with our content far easier than ever before.
One of the biggest points about the redesign is that you can catch up with Upcoming Pixar anytime, anywhere. We’ve made the site far easier to access and read on your smartphone or tablet, no matter what device you own. We’ve also included improvements to viewing media on the site and with accessing your favourite categories.
With Inside Out just less than three months today, it couldn’t have been a better time to bring you the redesign! This is just the start of the exciting things we have for you at Upcoming Pixar and across the Pixar Planet Network. Keep an eye out for some Inside Out coverage goodies!
Thank you very much for reading Upcoming Pixar, and we hope you like the new site!
— Gabe (Phileas)
COO, Pixar Planet

Hi guys, need to send you an email, but the contact form and the email provided there are not working!
Thanks for letting us know, Matteo! We’ve fixed our email address. Thanks for reading Upcoming Pixar!
The site is looking great, Gabe. The new logo is also super cute in a clean-cut, minimalist manner. Don Draper 3000 would approve! My only tip would be to make sure that the photos you are using for the featured content banner (incorrect terminology?) are all large enough that they do not look blurry when used in one of the bigger boxes. Other than that, things are looking AMAZING around here! 🙂
Thanks very much for your feedback, J.M.! We’ll make sure that our future articles have clearer images for our featured banner. We appreciate your support!
I LOVE the new look, it looks amazing! Been reading this blog for years and will continue to o so
Can I make one more suggestion without coming off like a jerk? (Too late?) Please make the hyperlinks a different color than the regular text. As it is now, they are pretty hard/next to impossible to find.
And like I said before: Things are looking AMAZING around here!
Holy frijoles! This place looks great now! Ten out of ten on the redesign, Gabe!
