By the end of the day, Toy Story 3 is set to cross the coveted $1 billion dollar mark at the worldwide box-office!
It’s safe to say that we’ve all been anticipating this moment since the film made its debut last June. Pixar’s 11th now joins an elite group of only seven films that have been able to achieve this kind of legendary status.
It goes without saying that Toy Story 3 is also the highest grossing animated film of all time and the first to surpass a billion dollars! Buzz and Woody currently claim about $404 million in North America and a little under $600 million internationally. With that said, we’re still counting!
The folks at corporate also have another great reason to celebrate… other than the insane amount of money. Because of Alice in Wonderland‘s recent success, The Walt Disney Studios is now the only entity with two films that have grossed over a billion dollars in the same year.

Pixar should make a continuation of up
What I would love, is if they just stop after TS3.
It reminds me of when Buzz tries to put a good spin on going into the attic, and tells everyone that they should ‘go out on a high note.’
The Toy Story gang goes out on the highest note ever for a PIXAR or animated feature, and I just hope that the guys in Emeryville can hold back executive-pestering for more TS films.
I argee, while I love the TS characters so much to see them in a fourth film it would be to much example the shrek films lol
Disney not only has two billion dollar films in one year, three of the seven are Disney films and Disney is the only studio to have more than one billion dollar film (Fox, Paramount, New Line, and Warner Bros. make up the other four)

Disney/pixar’s……, should be only Pixar’s…….. Disney should not be credited at all. Disney is one of the greediest company in this very world and this news bring some evil plan to the mind of disney executives and soon, disney will announce the fourth film. While toy story 3 is my favourite animated film, i more looking foward to dreamworks animation projects( DWA is good at adapting ) and soon , DWA will be the pixar( HTTYD can be credited as pixar film, DWA can manage make shrek 4, well, at least far better than the third one.).Go DWA!!!
