Say hello to Big Baby, the latest Toy Story 3 character to make its debut!
Although he’s the size of any other doll out there, when you’re a toy, this realistic tot towers above all others! You may have previously caught a glimpse of the doll in the latest trailer.
Here’s Big Baby’s official manufacturer’s description:
"Your little one will love this lifelike baby doll with his soft, cuddly fabric body and vinyl arms, legs and face. With dazzling blue eyes that open and close, this realistic baby encourages nurturing play. Eighteen inches tall, he comes dressed in an adorable yellow onesie with matching bonnet, and has his own magical bottle of milk that disappears while he drinks! A perfect first doll for your special child. Machine washable on gentle cycle. Flame retardant."
Fun Facts about Big Baby:
• When asked which character was the most personal contribution of his, Lee Unkrich answered that it was Big Baby. In fact he was wearing a t-shirt with the character’s silhouette when we spoke.
• The drawings all over Big Baby’s body are meant to emulate tattoos on a bouncer or another typically large personality.
• Big Baby plays a bigger role (no pun intended) than you’d think. Can’t talk about it, but it’s pretty deep.

Catch Big Baby in theatres on June 18th, 2010 playing in Digital 3D and IMAX at select theatres. He’s one of my favorite new characters, find out why soon!
Note: Pixar Talk should have the premiere of "Bookworm" (seen above) soon, so check out our friend’s site to see the last premiere character over there.
What do you think about Big Baby? Does he come off as creepy or cute? Maybe a little of both? Sound off in the comments section!

I bet Babyface is Big Baby’s father’s, third cousin’s, nephew.
..I still say the mutant toys should barge in at the end of this movie to rescue Woody’s gang…..that would be cool.
He definitely gives me this vibe of being ‘the muscle’ in the film, given in the one preview, we see him carry off Potato Head, throw him in the sandbox and close the lid…now what is that reminiscent of?
Rocky throwing Woody off the moving truck…?
“Rocky throwing Woody off the moving truck…?”
Not quite. I was making an allusion to what some unscrupulous fellows do to certain persons in real life.
I think big baby was abused when it had an owner…….maybe
I love all this speculation about Big Baby! Can’t wait to hear your thoughts AFTER you see the film. 😉
Big Baby’s going to be the Big tough guy in this film. The “tattoos” and his size may have us think one way about him, like maybe a big lug, but who knows, he might be the mastermind.
You know, the reflection of big baby’s toenails in the poster is really not appropriate.
