John Lasseter is to be inducted into the Toy Industry Hall of Fame tomorrow (Saturday, 13 February 2010) in New York.
“As the director of blockbuster movies such as Toy Story and Cars, John Lasseter has brought toys to life on the big screen,” explained Alan Hassenfeld, chair of the Hall of Fame Committee and 1994 Hall of Fame inductee.
Reads the press release.
Wal-Mart’s founder will also be inducted alongside Lasseter:
“Sam Walton helped to get toys into the hands of millions of children by carrying his own passion for toys and kids into the design of Wal-Mart’s toy departments, making them a destination for young consumers.”
Hopefully we will have some photos of the event soon. Congratulations John!
